El Terado Terrace

We stayed two nights at this property. It was one of the better priced hotels in Avalon. The room was simple but clean. Nothing extravagant or up to date. The bathroom could use updating. Overall it was a decent place to sleep at night. It’s up a steep hill so you need to be in decent physical shape to walk up the street.

Staff was hard to find. No one at front desk when checking out. Had to put keys in a drop box

If you are looking for a luxury hotel this is not the place. Unfortunately our stay was not worth the price due to one of the showers not working and unable to run both of the upstairs a/c’s without the breaker tripping. The room was very dusty and not very clean. Everything was very run down. Although it was not in the best condition our family made the best of our trip and we did enjoy the location of the hotel although you do have a big hill to walk up. Also the beds were pretty comfortable and the housekeeper was helpful. The tv options were a nice accommodation as well. If you are comfortable with a more of a hole in the wall beach hotel this is your place.

We enjoyed our stay at El Terrado. We did realize there is more room than planned - 2 bedrooms upstairs and a bed downstairs in family room near kitchen. Rooms were clean & comfortable. Sadly there is no WiFi or connection upstairs for anything. WiFi is only downstairs. - note there is a good hill to walk - that will get your steps in - bring walking shoes!

Overall, we enjoyed our 3 night stay! We had a town home, which had plenty of space for a family with two teenage boys to spread out in. The premises were spacious, felt semi-private and mostly quiet and kept clean. It was a great location for accessing anything on the island, which was the biggest draw. The basic amenities were in the kitchen (plates, glasses etc and dish soap - thank you!) and the Keurig coffee was stocked daily (yes!). But there was no drying rack for dishes nor kitchen towels and the pillows on the beds were not the softest. Also, there were a few items to be addressed such as the broken oven door and a sliding door that didn’t slide, that were not taken care of while we were there, but we used the stove top and microwave. If you wanted to have in person contact, best chance was during check in and check out times.

Great stay!

We had a nice time, but ran into quite a few issues that we did not find until after the office was closed. WiFi didn’t work, one of the main lights didn’t work, and the shower head was honestly disgusting. The shower was really tiny, so not fit for a larger person. Staff was nice it was unfortunate we didn’t run into the issues until later in the day. Unfortunately would not stay here again.
