I was treated to a 2 day golf package by my son for my birthday. The hotel and meals were excellent as well as the 2 courses with the greens in top condition. However the periphery of the courses around the tee boxes and the paths leave a lot to be desired. These areas were very scruffy and a lot of remedial work is needed if they wish to continue attracting visitors. Very disappointed with the Halfway House on the Gainsborough - 2 cold, stale sausage rolls for £9.00 !! The other main problem is the buggy policy - although the buggies are excellent with brilliant course satnav you are not allowed to use them in the car parks. This is a problem especially for older golfers as you may be parked quite a way away from the buggy park. This is the only course I know where you cannot take the buggy to your car to load your clubs

The golf course is very nice, staff were helpful.

No water in the rooms, products in the room were not great. For the price of the room, I would expect rooms that provide more comfort

The location was quiet and rural

Being put next to a family in our room when it’s such a large hotel. Also not to be told functions were going on in the restaurant and bar area it was packed

Stayed in april with 24 golfing friends Fabulous 👌 super friendly helpful staff ...great food beer golf spa fantastic weekend ...highly recommend a stay at the hotel

Been twice now for food/drinks in the sports bar and it's always good fun, with good vibes and a busy atmosphere.

Nice room at reasonable cost and good restaurant- good that golfers eat separate to spa break guests

TV didn’t work properly and staff did look at but clearly didn’t know any more than me and seemed disinterested, that was very disappointing given the money we had paid for the room.

We had a awful experience with stay at this establishment The beds and pillows were so uncomfortable we couldn't get a good night's sleep it left me and one of my children with a bad neck pain . The other swim and change facilities were below a clean standard. We did complain in the evening but that was late and nothing was done . Then the following morning we complained again But the staff was to busy to help but only words were sorry and for us to write in a complaint which we did . The response was awful not a single bit of sympathy . But said we should have complained whilst we were on site . What a shambles of communication.

We stayed as coach group and have to say the best hotel we have stayed at on all our coach holidays. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was huge with two double beds which were very comfortable. They had a hospitality tray which included chocolates and a choice of two 3 packet biscuits. All were topped up every day along with a sparkly and still bottles of water. The bathroom was big with a large walk in power shower. Only negative was the lacking of a shelf in the shower for your own sponge, shower gel and shampoo, of which they do supply on gels if you want to use them. Also could do with hook or hooks on the back of the door to hang things up. But that is just us being picky. Breakfast was very good. Only 1st morning topping up was poor but it may just be me timing wrong as very good next 3 mornings. Such a choice also. All you need for a start to a busy day. Dinner was fantastic. The service was so good when dealing with. 50 oldies. Some a bit fussy and demanding. The choice of food was brilliant. My wife usually has some trouble with choice but every night 2 out of 3 she was more than happy with. All 3 courses was well cooked and well presented also hot. The portions were huge. Could of easily cut down portions as large number of oldies but no. Very generous. Service was slick. Cant say golf or spa as unused but the golf courses looked great and well looked after.
