Please note the Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa is completely nonsmoking. The spa opening hours are as follows: Monday – Friday: 06:30 until 22:00 Saturday, Sunday and Bank holidays: 08:00 until 20:00 Children's swimming times are as follows: Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays: 08:00 until 09:00 and 18:00 – 19:30. During school holidays, 7 days a week: 08:00 until 09:00 daily To use the swimming pool facilities during 10 am and 6 pm you need to book a 2 hours pool session in advance with the property. No lifeguard will be present at the pool area. The property has strict child supervision policies in place. A deposit may be required at the property.

A beautiful setting with a mix of relaxing opportunities to enjoy a swim and spa or enjoy a round of golf. Great weekend for couples. Very attentive/polite staff throughout.

"An excellent hotel and location."

I have just returned from a four nights stay at The Stoke by Nayland Resort. I took 30 people on a tour round Suffolk, our party consisted of very seasoned travellers, who all were delighted with the hotel. The service was excellent, rooms were spotless and well furnished. We had a set menu and the choices were very good and the food was well presented and hot. I have taken this group to over 14 locations and this was definitely amongst the best we have stayed in. The mystery to me is why it is only a four star on Trip Advisor, although with the number of reviews you are bound to some complaints.

"Lovely location but needs a bit of a refurb"

Location was lovely. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice. Large portions though so couldn’t finish. Great view over the lake. Friendly staff

Too hot in the room. AC not working. All a bit tired for the price paid. Terrible hair dryer in my room. Lockers in the spa changing room did not lock. Member told me it had been like that for a long time despite complaints

"Enjoyable relaxing venue"

Good choice for breakfast and food hot. Dinner menu excellent and very generous portions. Booked a junior suite which was extremely spacious. Spa was lovely.

The junior suite was spacious but did require some refreshing and some attention to details, for example buttons missing on the bed headboard, the lining in the curtains marked and the chairs needed new seat pads as quite flat.

The staff very extremely helpful and accommodating. They should be commended. My family had a wonderful time.

It would be nice if there was an additional swimming slot for children, say mid-morning or after lunch at the weekend.
