Staying at the St James Hotel in Hanmer Springs is a true delight. The service is outstanding, making you feel welcome from the start. The rooms are impeccably clean and tidy, providing a comfortable and serene environment. The staff are exceptional, always friendly and attentive to your needs. For a memorable and relaxing stay, the St James Hotel is an excellent choice.

The views were great

Seriously gorgeous room with absolutely stunning view of the mountains, ideally placed in the middle of town and super quiet at night. Lovely heated floors gave off enough ambient heat at night to keep you toasty and warm. We would be back in a flash

Spacious and brand new but soulless. Our view was of a vacant lot complete with derelict vehicles and a garage or hangar with broken windows. Not worth the expense.

Friendly front desk

Modern, clean and very comfortable, we were glad we booked here. Easy walking to the town and the springs if you are going. In particular the lady running the property during our stay was incredibly personable and helpful. Only minor point of criticism is the notice on fines for leaving any strong cooking smells in the room - I totally appreciate the point but perhaps the lack of any extractor fan over the stovetop is also part of the issue here.
