Nithsdale Hotel

The room was spotlessly clean and staff are lovely.

We had to wait almost an hour for our room, even though we arrived at the allotted time. The room is advertised as having a 'view' but the only natural light was through a frosted glass window, in a door adjacent to the bedroom. It made the otherwise nice room quite claustrophobic.

Room was spacious, bathroom excellent. Cooked breakfast was very good and worth paying extra for. Staff helpful and friendly

Car parking area/ rear of pub gave a very poor first impression. Room lacked air flow and on the hottest day of the year it was uncomfortable.

Temporary problems arising from adjoining building works.

Lovely room with nice toiletries, etc. The food was very good and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Stayed there before staff very helpful they changed my room to a double from a twin with no issues, great bar prices, good value for money, nice atmosphere with the locals 😊

Only thing we couldn't do was work the coffee machine so couldn't get a hot drink before we left, but i was very early so not a problem. I wouldn't say that was a dislike just a bit of a shame

Good Food and friendly staff

Große Zimmer mit großen Betten. Wahl zwischen Continental Breakfast (etwas dürftige Auswahl) und Schottischem Breakfast (gegen Aufpreis) möglich. Sehr schön ländlich gelegen.

WiFi / W-LAN im 1. Stock nicht funktional, auch nicht bei anderen Gästen. Auch umfangreiche Bemühungen waren nicht erfolgreich.
