Nithsdale Hotel

Stayed here for one night travelling south from the far highlands. The room within this pub/hotel with restaurant was large, well equipped and nicely furnished. There is a separate restaurant and busy bar area. There was a band playing when i stayed, there was though zero noise in my room, it must have very good sound proofing. There is a car park behind the hotel.

Breakfast was quite late to start on a Sunday, 9am (earlier on other days) and in the restaurant i could only spot one vegetarian main meal option

A rather run down hotel in a run down town Not worth the price.

the staff were excellent, friendly and went above and beyond. Room 16 was very spacious, nice big bed, plenty of tea and coffee and also water ( which was greatly appreciated ) bed was extremely comfy, bed linen was spotless. The breakfast was hot and quickly served.

the shower wasn't very powerful.

Room was very comfortable and clean, en-suite clean and spacious.

Breakfast was a bit limited and a bit of a squeeze to get to the toaster!
