Hotel De Bently

the room was ok, the sounding clean and beconing, oozing of class and the interio is also great has a certain class also. the only snack is the bathroom.they need renovating to complement the genaral class of the hotel. the staff are ok but a little on the slow lane.i had an issue with the room they gave me and when i asked to be given the room i paid for it took them longer than i expected for them to change the room.but they are nice generally.

Rooms are neat and good. Service is good. Staff are polite. But no entertainment activities. nothing to relax except bar.

the room carpet was filthy, the shower water pressure was virtually nil, the TV channels were very limited. the staff were friendly and helpful. the bed was clean and comfortable

I discovered Hotel de Bently in desperation two years ago after abandoning two terrible hotels. Back then the hotel was a breath of fresh air , probably the only OK and reasonably priced hotel other than the hyper-priced Hilton. The Hotel de Bently was either quite new, or recently refurbished. It was clean, fresh, modern, with friendly, helpful staff. I have been staying in the Hotel de Bently several times since June 2011, and it still has friendly, helpful staff, the rooms are clean. However, I have seen a steady deterioration in the bathrooms. During my visit last week, the bathroom was smelly, and there was no cold water in the bath taps. They sent in a plumber who fixed it quite quickly. Lack of proper maintenance is starting to show in equipment, like in the lifts, which were out of order for 2 days, and the air-conditioner in the restaurant was broken on the last day of my stay. A new gripe I have is that previously Internet was free, but now you pay several times more than 3G data on a pre-paid SIM. That is a huge disappointment, which is why I'm only giving a 3 for "value" in my rating. Bottom line is that this is probably still the best value for money in Abuja hotels, but the management must be careful that they don't allow this gem of a hotel go to pieces before needing a drastic rescue, as so often happens in Nigeria.

On my trip to Abuja, i stayed in the hotel bently. Very pleased with my stay at this hotel. Very spacious, clean, comfortable, modern and nicely decorated rooms. The food is really good and the service is first class. The hotel has a super management team which makes a point of being available to you for your every need, from getting you a phone card to advising on the best places for shopping... Being on a business trip, I also hugely benefited from the super high-speed internet offered through wifi. I will definitely be using the same hotel for my future trips here. Gets my vote!

I really enjoyed every bit of my stay with Hotel De Bently. In fact it is the best hotel in Abuja. Tony was really good to me during my stay. He is such a good guy. many reasons to return

I stayed in Hotel De Bently It is a very affordable Hotel for this part of the world . Staff was very friendly. WiFi internet works very well but for a fee. I asked why the charge for their Wifi. I was told 'if you need good internet service in Nigeria, you have to pay for it'. I think that is quite fair. Rooms are excellent. Very clean. Room service very good. Breakfast included in the room rent. I enjoyed their native food. I looked around in other hotels in Abuja they are very expensive. I will be going again in September I will definitely stay there. You feel very secure 24hrs security. 24/7 electricity & Air Conditioning.

My visit to this hotel was very remarkable. it's a very suitable hotel - everything works, rooms are clean and updated, the people are all very helpful and pleasant and they serve good, sometimes even great food. Breakfast is a winner, something for everyone and good quality. I have no desire to stay anywhere else in Abuja, and all this at a reasonable price.

The hotel is very ordinary. I would advise you not to eat at the hotel and rather eat elsewhere. I say this because we had both the buffet supper and breakfast. It seems the hotel caters mainly for the traditional Nigerian foods, and as a westener, I could select very little that I felt comfortable with. I had no intention of having a sleepless night due to food that would upset the status quo.Only use the hotel as a sleepover. I was very dissapointed when I heard that I will have to pay N 2,000 for only 100mb of data. The rooms are spacious and clean, although one of my pillows had a stain.For breakfast my collegue had their only juice on offer, waterlemon, and immediately put it down after one sip. The ommelette was pre made and tasted like it needed salt, the fruit on offer looked old and was wrapped in plastic, so was the cheese. I had toasted bread, ommilette and jam with tea. On the positive:The staff is very friendly, aircon worked and the beer was cold.

I spent five days in Abuja and stayed in the charming Hotel De Bently. It was a peaceful and thoroughly enjoyable stay. The management was super helpful and accommodating, with good amenities, a characterful and well-thought out design and excellent kitchen/ bar. I recommend this highly!
