The stuff at the bar area are not very honest people to the customers and to the facilty

Location and snorkeling. The food at La Palapa was decent, and they had live entertainment there on most nights. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff overall were friendly and helpful. It was convenient having a dive shop on site as well.

Unfortunately, a lot of sargassum washed up on the beach during our visit, something the resort couldn’t control, but the staff worked hard and cleared most of it within 3–4 days. We had to ask a few times for coffee packets to be brought to our room and needing to remind them once about housekeeping. The pool was a bit cold, though the outdoor temperatures were chilly too. There is a hot tub, but the water temperature is about the same as the pool, so it’s not much warmer.

The rooms were not fully equipped, missing cooking items and utensils, had to borrow from my sisters room. Unable to communicate with the front desk, totally dated. Flooding everywhere, TV in my sister’s room 25”was not smart, so unable to watch Netflix or anything for that matter, when we asked the front desk they said they would get back to us BUT didn’t, what you are paying for is location. Btw, I tried canceling the reservation immediately after making it due to weather predictions and was told I wasn’t allowed to and would forfeit my money. So we ended up having to fly out knowing it was going to rain 100% for 6 days out of 7 and mind you a 25 inch dumb tv. Upside, besides walking through floods to get to breakfast, I must admit breakfast was really good. That was the highlight of our trip. Meeting family for breakfast soaking wet. lol

The hotel had everything you could need for a family beach holiday. The apartments were clean and comfortable with great bathrooms. It was fabulous to be right on the beach and also have a large pool.

Breakfast was great and the assortment of breakfast foods changed everyday. The resort is on the beach making walking from the room to the beach easy and convenient.

I think one or two more hot tubs would be nice.
