"Excellent stay in comfortable hotel with an exceptionally good breakfast."

Breakfast and room were excellent and everywhre was very clean.Bed very comfortable ad very good bedlinen.First class Bathroom Staff friendly and helpful.Was able to park outside hotel.Sofas in batmr very comfortable to relax in with z drink or a coffee.

Just one personal dislike.As we are both in our 70s and I have a back problem I found the staircase to our room to be rather steep.Hoever we appreciate that given the age of the building nothing can be done about this and presumably a lift cannot be installed as it must be a listed property.

Another lovely stay at The Black Lion. Enjoyed the fact that it was all 'Christmassy'! Great evening meal. Good breakfast, lovely staff. Ideal for a solo traveller and for rest and relaxation!

everything exceptional stay , loved the hotel, room was more than adequate comfy and really quiet which was what we needed , price was exceptional, food was amazing with plenty of choice, staff very friendly and welcoming, will definitely return
