Just a place to stay

My husband arrived 20 min before check in time, his mate in other hotel was welcomed because you usually have the room ready by that time anyway. When my husband asked if its okay to check in so he can quickly change before going for lunch, he was told "No you have to wait 20 min", if room is ready and only reason to not let someone pop in the room is rule that you start check in at certain time, it just feels off. Wouldn't book that llace again.

The ladies that work at the George were amazing so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble, the hotel itself was unusual it is a very old hotel with a lot of history, the town of Frome is very quirky lots of alleyways with little independent shops, St John's church is a beautiful church dating from the 1700s, we enjoyed our stay .

The bedrooms could do with updating shower room was small but adequate but it was all clean .

Friendly and informative staff. Nice atmosphere in bar area. Plenty of choice for breakfast. second time we've stayed overnight and would highly recommend.

Be careful entering and exiting car park, and manoeuvring inside!!
