Citrus Hikkaduwa

We came to hotel with my girlfriend 21st of April, I like to say many staff members are know to me. Big Thank to the Front office team- Malsha and Nethmi was very helpful and friendly. They help me to extend my stay here. And Ms.Ishara Also very kind and always taking with me and care of me. I definitely come back again. Highly Recommend.

Things are tough for this area. Low occupancy means short cuts are occurring. Lovely staff trying their best with the limits from management.

Bed sheets were dirty and had sand in the bed. Floor was gritty as well. Staff cleaning lobby at 3:30am made sleep impossible. Breakfast buffet was disappointing, felt as though food was being stretched to its maximum “use by”. Didn’t end up eating in fear of becoming ill.

I had a wonderful experience at Citrus Hikkaduwa, and a big part of that was the excellent front office service. The reception team was professional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Ms. Ishara and Malsha at the reception, who truly stood out. Their friendliness, efficiency, and attention to detail made the check-in and overall stay smooth and pleasant. They went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met, which made a lasting impression. Thank you for the warm hospitality—I look forward to visiting again!

I had a very disappointing stay at Citrus Waskaduwa. From the moment we arrived, the experience was far below expectations. The food was extremely poor in quality and lacked variety. It did not meet even basic standards, and we were quite unhappy with every meal. The accommodation was also not satisfactory. The room was not well maintained, and cleanliness was below average. It definitely did not feel like a comfortable or relaxing stay. The room service was slow and unprofessional. Requests were either delayed or not handled properly, which made the stay even more frustrating. Overall, the service, food, and facilities were all disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

My stay at Citrus Hotel had a mix of positives and areas that need improvement. The property itself is decent, but it does feel like it’s not very well maintained. That said, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the start of our stay was a bit difficult. While the Front Office staff were polite, they seemed reluctant to smile or engage in conversation, which made the check-in experience feel less welcoming than expected. However, the manager stood out with a warm smile and a more approachable attitude, which was appreciated. A very special mention goes to Damith, who assisted us during check-in. He was outstanding friendly, professional, and confident in what he was doing. He handled everything smoothly and turned around our initial experience. Staff like him truly make a difference, and he deserves to be recognized and appreciated. The pool staff were nice and attentive, and the Food & Beverages team was also friendly and accommodating. Overall, while the property and initial experience could improve, the efforts of standout staff members like Damith helped make the stay better.

Hi hotel is OK,but restaurant big crowd, staff sarvis is OK,and friendly specially dammit water Arabic class fantastic. Dammit is very active person and he doing great job for citrus, our holidays dammit make very happy, we come back again. Food is OK.

I liked the food, the room and the convenient location.

Tea amenities and mugs were not provided initially, and we had to request them.
