"Wonderful Hotel!"

8.0

We arrived late in the day after a long day driving and we were accommodated on every request. Including take out dinner so that we could eat outside by the pool, close to our room as we were travelling with our dog (who also had a long day). This is a very welcoming hotel in a lovely area in the historic center. We wish we had more time there but had to head out the next day. We will visit again!

"close to centro"

Very friendly hotel staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Would be nice if they had a bigger breakfast selection but I understand that this will be coming. Would definitely recommend to my friends

"Super Clean but Pets, Noise and Rock and Roll"

6.0

Well I have mixed feelings about Quinta Rio. While Mr. Saul (works at night) and Mr. Leon along with the helpful staff were extremely nice I had a horrible time dealing with the receptionist Ms. Cecilia. Upon our arrival we were placed in a very small room (Ambar). According to the availability that Expedia gave me while booking I had reserved this room (Ambar) with the option of "Lavanda" (bigger and more expensive) on my requests. When trying to explain this to Ms.Cecilia her solution was "call Expedia and change hotels". Thanks to Mr. Saul everything was sort out and we where moved to room #1 two days later. The other inconvenience is that pets are allowed, and while this may work wonders for some it doesn't for those looking forward to have a peaceful time without barking as a background noise. When I asked Ms.Cecilia about the barking situation she proceeded to show me the pet policy of the hotel and told me "what do you want me to do to ask the dog to stop barking" Shocked by her attitude I asked her to make respect the rules in the policy about not leaving pets alone and I asked for a copy; she refused and aggressively tried to snatch the one I had in my hands as I said I'd get a copy myself. She threaten "I'll call the cops" Unbelievable! Bottom line, the place is super clean, the staff is friendly and helpful (except for the receptionist),nice decor, rather noisy at night but perhaps ideal for the "I can't live without my dog" kind of person.

"Close to everything, far from a good night's sleep"

6.0

Our stay at this boutique hotel was a mixed bag. While the staff is very attentive, and the hotel is very near the center of the Queretaro historical district, a good night's sleep was not included in the amenities. The walls of our room (B-2) were paper-thin, and we could easily hear chatter from adjoining rooms. In addition, the hotel kitchen seemed to be one wall away as well, so noise from the kitchen woke us up very early as well.

"A lovely little hotel"

8.0

This is a lovely little hotel in an ideal position for visiting Queretaro - about 5 -10mins easy walk into the very centre of town. The courtyard and pool area was well maintained with lots of pretty flowers and plants in pots and decorations on the wall - not what we were expecting when we entered the hotel - the facade is quite deceptive. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable with complimentary bathroom products. Breakfast was simple - fresh juice, fruit, pastries and coffee. Being a typical english tea drinker I had taken my own tea bags [only fruit tea was on offer] and each morning I was given hot water without needing to ask for it. The staff were all friendly and willing to assist us as required.

"Excellent"

8.0

Hotel is quaint, very clean. Easy walk to downtown. Hotel staff is very courteous and accommodating. Bedroom and bathroom are small, but clean and well kept. This is a good choice for someone who is looking for a place close to downtown, and want value at a reasonable cost.

"I will never choose a Boutique Hotel"

4.0

The room is very small. The bathroom is too small. I have to open the door of the shower to sit down. One night I went to the Hotel at midnight and nobody opened the door of the entrance after 10 minutes. That night it was a couple chating during all night in the pool area. When I woke up at 5:30am and I found three people swimming in the pool. When I was taking my breakfast near the lobby a girl covered with white towels went out the street with a man. I ask for the check and they did not have paper with the logo of the hotel to get a receipt. The man was writing by hand the total amount of the bill. I said to them I felt like in "burdel" because the situation of the girls and overall it was not good experience.

"Charming small hotel"

10.0

This hotel is only three blocks from the city center of Queretaro . Using an old colonial homeas a base, it is quiet, charming and clean. Service was excellent. I fully recommend it.The room comes with a continental breakfast Beware that there is no air conditioning--but an excellet ceiling fan, and no heating. However, Queretaro does not get too hot or too cold and there are plenty of blankets for winter and a small pool for summer. Old colonial homes are built with thick walls and insulated from harsh temperatures outside. There is a central patio tastefully decorated.A good choice for a small and quiet place out of the noisy center.
