Staff and service was excellent. We upgraded our room on arrival and were very impressed with our room. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great and we fuelled up every morning for our adventure in the surrounding mountains

Only thing we didn't like was the construction next door

The view was fantastic, the hot tub was nice (though limited hours of use) and the room was comfortable. However, given the rate we paid, we were surprised by how basic the overall hotel experience felt. There were maintenance issues with the tub and other small details that didn’t quite meet expectations. While the staff was friendly and made efforts to address the problems, the property ultimately felt more like an upscale budget hotel.

Hotel Ambiance reception service started even before we arrived in Zermatt. Hotel Ambiance reception staff Mauro contacted us to confirm our check in for the day. He offered to arrange for a taxi to the hotel since we had luggages. After alighting from The Glacier Express train at the Zermatt HB station, we were greeted by our driver Christophe who helped us with our luggages right through to reception. It was here that we first met that bright young man named Mauro who made our stay at Hotel Ambiance such a memorable experience. Mauro had talked about the ongoing events in Zermatt village which helped us with our plans for Zermatt. He had arranged for our room to be specially decorated with a heart shaped blanket and a note on the bed welcoming us with wishes for our wedding anniversary. Our hotel room had a balcony, complete with table and chairs, became our favorite spot during our stay as it had a very clear view of The Matterhorn Mountain on one end. And if the timing is right, a view of the Gornegrat train climbing the sharp elevation of the mountain, on the other end of the balcony. The hotel itself is beautifully designed complete with a sauna and a whirlpool tub within its grounds. The distinct sweet smelling Edelweiss and a variety of beautiful flowers can be seen everywhere within the hotel. There were restaurants, cafes and a bakery within walking distance from the hotel. Near the restaurants, there is a bus stop for the free electric bus to the Zermatt Glacier Paradise station and also to the Gornegrat train station.

Zermatt is a beautiful village. But the elevation and stairs makes lugging heavy luggages a little bit challenging.

The friendly staff,the hotel environment is located in a quiet part of Zermatt. Cozy and comfortable room. Good hotel space in the common area,for gathering and just reading the books and tourist information placed there. Interesting concept of honesty bar for guests who need some items like food or drinks.

It will be good for the hotel to provide a fan to ventilate the room during noon time when the sun is hot.

A short walk to the shuttle/ slopes and comfortable beds and nice hot tub

breakfast was wonderful! we had to catch train before open and staff prepared to gos for us as well as arrange taxi ride. they also upgraded our room which gave us a view.
