This review is for my friends booking in my name.Would never stay here again, no hot water, on first night, second day we woke up to no electric sockets working, which meant we couldn’t even use the macerating toilet! The photo of a bathroom is our bathroom but no way does it look like that! The room wasn’t serviced, whilst we were there, the dining area still had chips from meals the previous evening on the floor, when we went for breakfast, then during breakfast the cleaner started sweeping up around us when we were eating, breakfast is served at 8 45, takes about 30 minutes to arrive which, isn’t acceptable when you have day trips planned, two plus points, the staff are welcoming and the views are amazing Sent 1h ag

Most of the staff were lovely apart from the land lord Simon who is incredibly rude. We were lucky our electric sockets did work so could have a cup of tea. But Tv wasnt working. Our room was serviced our friends wasnt. Breakfast wasnt untill 8.45 which was late and it took a very long time for the hot breakfast to come even though we ordered it when we ordered our drinks. There is no one on property if a problem but you can phone Emma who lives in the village. Emma the manager is very nice. Pub closes at 9

The breakfast area had food on floor from night before and the cleaner was sweeping whilst we were having our breakfast. My husband went out with the front door key and I felt trapped because you couldnt get into pub as door was locked and I couldnt go out front door as wouldnt be able to get back in. Didnt particulary like the food ,

Spacious bedroom. Convenient location for us. Friendly staff.

Very poor lighting in bathroom, only one bulb out of about half a dozen. Electric kept tripping out. No-one on site. Unable to use kettle, watch TV or read due to this and we were awake at 6am ready for a cuppa. Toilet was hit and miss when flushing, quite a knack to it. Told Simon about electrics, but he brushed it off with a laugh, saying he thought it was just the kettle.. He knew there was a problem so why were we not put in another room? We appeared be the only guests.

Quaint, basic, nice food, helpful staff, good parking and perfect location for exploring Dorset coast.

Bedroom felt a bit tired and maybe could do with sprucing up a bit, but it was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely with a lovely shower and hot water.

Warm welcome. Staff who took trouble and were friendly and efficient. The location was wonderful if you like country views and walking…. Especially the Breakfast Room view over Corfe Castle. We use public transport, so having the bus stop very close was a bonus ( 40, Purbeck Breezer bus which goes to Swanage, Wareham Corfe and Poole). The meals were lovely - we had evening meals and a Sunday family dinner and all were excellent.

I loved the property, but you need to accept it is an old, partly converted, building and therefore some facilities are a little dated. They all work though! Fruit option at breakfast would be a bonus.

Excellent, freshly cooked well presented more importantly really tasty.

Bathroom was a little tired needs a little TLC

Food was very good and extremely cosy and warm

If want an early night then your room will have all the noise from the bars
