"The view!!"

7.0

Beautiful location, surprisingly quiet, spacious room, parking available.

Somewhat tatty decor (eg mould on window frames, rusty damage to the bath). Felt like a pub room not maintained. Overpriced for that reason but the overall experience was excellent, the room was otherwise clean and comfortable, and the location makes it.

Location for walks. Bus stop outside

Slow service at the bar. Staff could not be found at times. Mugs would be better in rooms rather than small cups to make drinks.

"Checked out after half an hour"

5.0

Location, views towards corfe Castle were excellent. Pub was nice. Staff helpful and polite

No curtain or blind at window. Light bulb not working in one bedside lamp, very dusty. Kettle cable didn't reach table, had to boil kettle on floor. General cleanliness very lacking

Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good though would have liked more coffee and an earlier start time

We last stayed about 15 years ago when we liked it very much. It now feels a bit shabby and in need of an upgrade. I appreciate that the financial environment is very difficult.

"Nice hotel with great views."

8.0

Views from garden spectacular, room very spacious. Cerne Abbas beer very good and food good.

Car park very challenging for motorcyclists as on steep sloop and chalk base uneven and not easy to ride on. As SW660 hotel stop would advise to park outside hotel in road.

"Lovely quaint pub with fabulous views and good food but our room was a big disappointment"

2.0

The Scott Arms is a very attractive looking quaint ancient pub with fantastic views over to Corfe Caste. The staff were very helpful. The food - both dinner and breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, with the benefit of hindsight I wish we had only eaten in the pub and not stayed overnight.

We were very disappointed with our room - the Arne. It didn't look anything like the one in the photo (with the red/orange striped bed spread cover). Arne was very cramped - only one chair to sit on. The furniture was shabby and the paintwork could do with a refresh. The carpet was stained in several places but worst of all was the carpet tread between the bedroom and bathroom. It had come away from the metal strip leaving sharp "teeth" sticking up. I caught my bare foot on it during the night (I have told the staff). There were no toiletries apart from the hand soap on the wash basin. A (helpful, kind) member of staff eventually managed to find a half used bottle for me to use. Our room cost £139 for one night with breakfast - it was meant to be a special treat for my husband's birthday. I didn't feel it was good value for money.
