Staff perfect and friendly

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. A fan was provided and the coffee, tea and biscuits were good quality. We love the Scott Arms as a pub and have visited on many occasions but this was the first time we had stayed there.

The bathroom (Chapman's Pool) needs some attention. We had to keep the plugs in the plug holes to stop the smell of drains. Also the shower over the bath didn't drain which left the bath slippery. Bathroom just needs general maintenance - peeling paint and rusty pipes. It was also unusual for the property to only provide handwash - no shampoo, shower gel, conditioner etc. It was a very hot weekend and the fan was useful however the window wouldn't open. Although the breakfast was great for meat eaters there wasn't a vegetarian option on the menu.

The staff , service and food were excellent. The breakfast which was included in the stay was exceptional. You feel the character of the building and its appreciated

Whilst the pub is old and downstairs was well cared for,the rooms upstairs need some much tlc. Whilst overall spotless, rooms need updating with new carpets and maintenaince (our bathroom door wouldnt even close properly as warped so much )

The location and the style of the pub

All ok

This is a listed rustic building so the rooms are not luxurious but very clean and comfortable. The views are superb and the food excellent. Friendly staff team.

Lovely Old pub with history, great views from the garden , good walking area. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Needs updating especially the Bathroom the Bedroom needed a few cobwebs removed. The restaurant menu was disappointing.

The breakfast was delicious, room spacious

Good location near Corte Castle and SW Coastal Path

Shabby, unloved. So sad, as the original makeover 10-15 years ago looks like it might have been lovely. But no maintenance has been done and it’s very tied, shabby and in need of some urgent TLC.
