This hotel is a beautiful ryokan and onsen. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We ate breakfast and dinner at the ryokan and really enjoyed the food - meals are 7 courses and food quality is top notch. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Yudanaka. They have a private onsen which we also booked so my husband and I could use the onsen together.

"Highly recommended Hotel Tsubakino"

10.0

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tsubakino! Very polite and helpful team (using Google Translate to communicate!), incredibly delicious and exquisitely beautiful dinner and breakfast. Great location 3 mins walk from station/Snow Monkey forest bus. We also really liked using the onsen over the road.. once we'd figured out how to! We appreciated the clothing provided and enjoyed wearing the yukata. All in all it felt like a very Japanese experience and we enjoyed it very much.

"A wonderful stay"

10.0

We just had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tsubakino. Very close to the train and snow monkey bus stop. We arrived early and they let us use one of the rooms to change for the hike to see the monkeys, and held our bags. After the hike, they welcomed us back with a complimentary drink. Then they showed us to our room, which was very spacious: two western-style beds, a love seat, and coffee table, with a private bathroom. We also enjoyed the snow capped Mountain View’s from the bed. Dinner and breakfast was traditional Japanese cuisine - very tasty. We also booked the private onsen for 75 minutes. They consider every detail. A lovely stay.

"Traditional Ryokan close to the snow monkeys"

10.0

We loved our 2 night stay at this traditional Ryokan, which was one of the highlights of our Japan trip. It’s a few minutes walk from the train station although they will pick you up in their mini van on request. The staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. They spoke adequate English too! We stayed in a suite with its own private bath and the room was huge. We had breakfast and evening meal and the traditional Japanese food was exceptional, so much choice and exceptionally tasty! We loved wearing the yukata ( traditional dress) that was provided which added to the experience. We visited the monkey park during our 2 night stay the bus goes from the train station and it only takes 10 mins. We got the 8.15 am which meant we were at the park as it opened so it was less crowded. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
