Duroy Hotel

The Location of the Hotel is More than excellent, it is only few meters from the Roucha, and Alhamra Street downtown Beirut... The Room itself was a bit small, reasonable considering the Rate per day, the Bathroom was Not as good as expected. I have booked a Room with a balcony (See-View), however; the Room was simply NOT overlooks anything but another Building.! When I have spoken to the receptionist, she simply offered Nothing but to say (Im sorry, Other Single Rooms facing the See are on the higher levels, and you will Need to pay an extra $20 a day).!! I found that annoying and so improfessional.! Apart from that Breakfast was reasonable. Overall the Price was reasonable, Location is perfect, and with a bit extra of attention, it could have been better...

They promote themself as a 4 start hotel and it’s not even a 2 start hotel. They loss power all the time and the A.C. didn’t work the first days. Besides when I did the check out, they charged me expensive local phone call even though I asked before if I could make it (they didn’t told me that they charge almost $1dollar per minute; what I consider an abuse price). They made more money from the phone calls than then price per night. The front desk service is soo rude. I asked to call the supervisor and it was even worse, she was the rudeness person ever. The people who work at the clean service is so kind as well the valet helping with the luggage.

The hotel offered a free round trip to Faraya mountain and handed us over to a ski supplies shop up the mountain with an owner named “Joe” which took 180 dollars worth of half an hour motor ski ride only, and upon going up the mountain we found people who didn’t pay anything like us, also the shop owners threatened to harm us if we didn’t leave the shop because we asked for half of our money. A horrible & traumatic experience.

location : Nice, 2 minutes walk from the cornich and 10 minutes walk from Hamra Street but I wouldn't recommend it 3 stars would be enough Staff: unfriendly Restaurant: not a typical Lebanese restaurant

I stayed in Duroy Hotel for five nights. The location of the hotel is about ten minute walk from Al Hamra street. It just by Rauche which is a good spot for afternoon walks. The room was good, clean and cosy and most of the staff were helpful. However, there were issues which made my stay not that pleasant. First, the hot water would go cold in the middle of the shower. The internet became non-existent and certain times and one could find it irritating. The worst of all was the guy in the reception at night shift. The one who is slim and with stubbles. Never ever ask him to arrange a taxi. It is a total scam and he is a part of it. When I asked him and the driver to provide me with a bill, they refused and said that it is only for the company, not you. I would probably not stay in this hotel for a second time

Decent for the price and nice/friendly staff. Location is convenient.

I never recommend it , the staff is not friendly, it is unacceptable to see a receptionist does not smile, never let the valet parking drive your car, the toilet is very dirty , it is not a typical Lebanese style and service
