Castle is very interesting but rooms need updating. Our room and bathroom were super small and outdated. Bedding was satin which was not comfortable. Food was very good. Views from the castle were very pretty.

Lovely castle hotel with superb sunset and sunrise view. Delicious dinner with very helpful staff. Love to know run by the third generation of the current owner. Good location for traveling nearby villages along the Romantic Road.

"A magical castle looking out to the valley..."

A very special atmosphere, decorated authentically and has a wonderful view of the surrounding. The family owning the castle gives a personal attention to every guest and everyone was very friendly. Exploring the castle is recommended! Has a craft beer and close to Rotenburg ob der tauber, but hard to reach. Make sure not to ignore the email saying that check-in is until 20:00. Gates close at some hour, but the hotel staff can provide a remote to open it should the need arise.

I can't say enough good things about Burg Hotel Colmberg! Staying in this castle was a highlight for my family on our trip through southern Germany. The castle is decorated with beautiful antiques, the food is delicious, the atmosphere in the courtyard was gorgeous, and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and very pretty (we booked rooms with the antique wood beds). We wished we had more time here and will stay there again on our next trip.

"Amazing castle stay! "

Michelin star castle & hotel! And although the restaurant is not officially Michelin star rated, it should be! Amazing! Farm fresh food. Breakfast included with your stay. The current family owner was very welcoming too & spent some time chatting with us about the area! Feeling very lucky to stay in this historical 13th century castle! <3
