Meliá Tortuga Beach - All Inclusive

Lovely location, hotel is clean & the staff are friendly and helpful, particularly Fred, the restaurant concierge. The hotel puts a free bus on several times a day to Santa Maria & taxis are only 5 euros. There is a wide choice of food in the main restaurant, the pool bar & the beach bar. There are also on site restaurants that are free to book & included in the all inclusive price. I'd definitely recommend the hotel & we'll be coming back to Cabo Verde again, beautiful island that lives by it's motyo "No Stress"

A Ilha do Sal precisa de melhorar a recolha do lixo abandonado por todo o lado. O ressort e as praias concessionadas são limpas mas no resto do território há demasiado lixo abandonado.

3 stars is the most I can give at this stage. I visited Sal in October. I had very high hopes after seeing the pictures online. We had quite few moments of disappointment. When we arrived the place looked lovely. Unfortunately fhe stuff was not too pleasant from the start. The customer service is really behind Europe and North Africa. Also not everyone speak English which is suprising as there were alot of English tourist at the hotel . We got beautiful 2 bedroom villa, although the aircon only worked in 1 room and the sheets were not changed. I had really bad sleep there. The next day I found hundreds of ants in the bedroom and all over my stuff so we changed the room for the top floor. Unfortunately we had small cockroaches in the bathroom. I understand that certain things are out of control but for some poeple it can get quite scary. The towels by the pool were only available at certain times and sometimes not at all so I recommend to bring your own. On the good side: the beach was beautiful but the people that tried to sell souvenirs were too much. You get someone coming up to you every 2 mins so it's hard to relax. The drinks were nice but they were not consistent. Every bartender did it in a diffrent way. The food was ok. The music was great! Sometimes way too loud. The animation team did nothing during the day apart from 1 dance a day so don't hope for any children shows by the pool. It was so strange that they were not really engaging. There were night shows every evening. But children mini club was only in Portugese. I highly recomment to go visit the island as Sal is a beautiful place! Sadly I won't be returning to this hotel.

Grosses gepflegte Anlage. Das Essen am Buffet war super lecker, frisch zubereitet, abwechslungsreich, für alles etwas dabei. Möglichkeit von a la Card besteht mit reservierung. Viele Liegen an den Pools und am Strand. Grosse Zimmer mit ablageflächen, Schrank mit Kleiderbügel. Frische Tücher, Wasser wird nachgefüllt. Das All Inclusive kann am Abreisetag bis zur Abreise genutz weden. Personal kann gut Englisch und ist grösstenteils freundlich.

Zimmer sind leider weniger gepflegt. Der Strand direkt vor dem Hotel mit den Liegen, ist leider nicht zum Baden geeignet. Viele Felsen mit Seeigeln. Wir sind immer zum "Strand" am Hotel nebenan gelaufen. Dort haben viele Turisten gebadet, ist jedoch eigentlich ein Kanal für kleine Motorboote. (Selten evt 3-5x Täglich) Die Liegen weden, trotz verbot, Morgens reserviert. - Besondes am Pool, leider wurde dies vom Hotel toleriert. Einzenlen Sonnenschirme am Strand sind nicht nutzbar. Im Grossen und Ganzen eher ein 4 Sterne Hotel aus meiner Sicht.
