Zeus Hotels Neptuno Beach - All Inclusive

It was very nice hotel on very big and sandy beach. Food was perfect.

We didn’t like bed and pillows they were very uncomfortable. Bed moves with your every move, and pillows were firm.

We just returned from a 1-week all-inclusive stay at the Neptuno Beach. Family of 4. When I was booking the holiday package for the travel dates that we wanted, only the Family Rooms were available. The Family Room was located on 1st floor just above the reception area. Sometimes it was a bit noisy there, but no drama. The room was a bit small for us especially the bathroom. No bathtub, only shower cabin which was tight. We had a balcony with a partial view of the sea. The bed was comfortable for sleep but could have used extra pillows (only 2 were given per bed). Kids had a bunkbed, and they slept well. With the bunkbed next to our bed we had zero privacy, definitely book a larger room if available. The AC unit was new, efficient, and quiet. The fridge in the room too loud at night, so we unplugged it before sleep. Rooms were clean, in good condition, and the cleaning service did a very good job in maintaining the room. There was a safe in the room for which we had to pay 3 EUR per day to use it. Not common for me to see a fee for a safe, that was a bit annoying. This is a small hotel, which we viewed as a positive, because we did not feel as if it was crowded. There were always lounge chairs available at the pool or the beach. You get 1 large pool for adults and bigger kids, and 1 really small pool for the children below 6 yr old. The pool was never overcrowded as some guests stayed at the beach. The beach was a big plus for the hotel. The lounge chairs and umbrellas were for hotel guests only and at no extra charge. The beach was sandy and clean. We spent the mornings in the sea and afternoons in the pool, and there was never a problem in finding chairs. There is a pool bar, and pool snack area, at the back there is the kids club where you can find a pool table and a ping pong table. There is no spa if you are looking for a massage. There is only one dining area where you get the all-inclusive breakfast, lunch, dinner. Food was tasty and Yanis the chef was very helpful. We had no problems in finding something for us and our kids. They try to change up the offerings each day, but some items were constant. The drinks at the bar were OK, they used some fancy machine that did the mixing of cocktails. If you asked for extra shot of spirit, they would do it for you. For me the biggest disappointment was coffee, there also they used a new dispensing machine that made different types of coffee, but they were all instant crap. If you wanted a proper Espresso or Americano you had to pay extra. The crowd control at the dining area was manageable. The staff at this hotel was nice with the exception of 1 person. The lady that served at the pool bar she only smiled if you were a German customer (around 75% of guests were from Germany, the rest of the guests were from Poland, Romania, Czech, France). If you ordered from her in English the smile would disappear, I don't know what was up with her, but other non-German guests I talked to also felt the same about her. Kids club was a bit of a disappointment, but maybe because this is not a hotel with main focus on kids. Normally our kids connect well with the host of the kids club, but this time we felt the connection was missing. It felt like the host only did the minimum she had to do to get the job done. The Bulgarian guy that run the mini disco was good and really tried hard to keep things interesting for all. Would we return here with kids, probably not. Would we return just as a couple, probably yes.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. Food was excellent and varied. The beach is right outside the pool area and we never struggled to get beds although it was very busy. Our room was small but modern and we had a good walk in shower and clean towels every day. Galin and Vanessa, the entertainers, were very good and worked hard to include all the guests. We were only one of two English couples in the two weeks we were there and this was somewhat reflected in the evening music programme, but we did meet some nice people. In all, a lovely clean modern hotel with very good all-inclusive food and drink

The property advertises all inclusive but they don’t offer actual alcoholic variety. They have this machine at the bar that makes the drinks from syrup and they taste like cheap juice you buy at the grocery store. The morning coffee is the same , no actual coffee .. just a machine making cheap tasting coffee drinks .

Super place if someone likes to rest peacefully. Not too big resort, no queues at meals and at the bar. Pool quite small, but without crowds. Nice sandy beach with a sandy bottom. It is sometimes windy - as it is on the Greek islands. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided free of charge by the hotel - both by the pool and on the beach. Unfortunately, in the hotel there is a morning race and occupation of sunbeds - although often later there are no people at them, only towels. Beach towels for a deposit - no problem at all. New furniture and renovated bathroom, although it would be useful to have a bidet since you can't throw paper in the toilet. Typical Greek standard - no fireworks, but very clean, cleaned daily. Towels also changed practically every day. It would be useful to install a better door, because now you can hear every rustle from the corridor. Food 4/5 Very good and varied food. To my taste, there could be a little more seafood and fruit alone. There was fish every day, but larger shrimp for a week not once. A surprise for me was the lack of nuts or strawberries. Weak snacks between the main meals. Drinks and alcoholic beverages okay. Service 5/5 Service without complaint. Nice reception and bartenders. You will get along with everyone in English. Super animator, who can probably talk in any language :D Surroundings 4/5 Exit from the hotel directly to the super beach. Public, but without crowds. Nice to see it's a place used by locals as well. Close to the center of Heraklion and the airport. Close to kite and kayak base. A little disturbed by smoking tourists, but it can be survived. In the evenings you can take a leisurely stroll or enjoy the view of the island's lights coming on.

Stayed 10 days in June and we can understand why people keep going back. The food is very very good every day plenty of different choices of Hot and cold . You must try things that maybe you have never heard of especialy some of the greek dishes. Our room was very comfortable a superior double room with sea view we were on the front block next to the pool ( not heated) but as the temp was 29 degrees it was just right to cool down and just a mention for Galan entertainment person. very funny and great aqua class . Very nice beach 20 yards from the pool plenty of sun beds as usual people like to place towels on them and as long as you do the same before 9 am you should get them. There is a strong wind though which can make the sea a bit rough. We wish we could mention everyone of the staff who work there , But we can only remember George the the concierge nothing is to much trouble. The staff at reception always helpful as are the cleaners who keep everything so clean and tidy towels changed every day and linen every few days. The Bar is between the Pool and the Beach where they have evening entertainment occasionally . And this is where things fall down. You can smoke where ever you like which makes it hard for non smokers, in this day and age there should be seperate areas set aside. The one other is the wine for a few euros more l am sure the company could provide a wine that doesnt need to be mixed with something to improve the taste. Overall this is a great Hotel Great Value Great Staff, and would definitely go back again.

I liked the hotel. Clean, tidy. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The food is delicious and fresh, varied. I wanted more fish and seafood dishes. There were not enough sun umbrellas on the beach, because there were much more vacationers. The alcoholic cocktails are very sweet. Very poor animators, the evening program is completely poor.

We are on the last day of our holiday and we have had a lovely week. The hotel is clean, our room is comfortable and the staff are friendly. The hotel is literally in top of the beach and the pool area is nice. The food has also been very good with lots of choices. The hotel and holiday and exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay again!

We wanted a place to relax and the end of our 3 week Greece trip, we spent 5 days here and it was perfect, there was a good selection at the buffet and the beach was nice.
