"Lovely Stay on the Quay"

For a brief stay, it was wonderful. David was super accommodating and the Merchant House was just lovely! Be sure to park in offsite parking which is just across the street. Many restaurants are just around the corner on the quay and such a lovely walk it was! Thanks so much for your hospitality!

"Great location + outstanding breakfast"

Fab location- so handy for the quayside restaurants, old town and ferries yet quiet even on a Friday / Saturday night . Breakfast was served 8:30 - 9:30am and was amazing! There was cereal, yoghurts, juice, but we saved ourselves for the full English, which had sweet potatoes, courgettes and homebaked bread as well as the usual bacon, sausages etc. Really fancy and great to be able to chat to our host as he prepared the food in the open kitchen/ diner. Lots of nice touches. Got free parking for the second night but did need to pay the first night, which was a bit of a pain, but not very expensive. Nice tea tray / magazines / toiletries etc The shower was okay, but not the best pressure, and be warned that the rooms are fairly compact (not a problem for us, as we were out and about all day). I would've liked a bigger towel and a bedside light (on the wall) but I am a bit fussy like that! Overall a lovely stay with a very friendly and charming host.

"Great little find close to the front "

😊 Lovely little hotel, clean and the host David is lovely and accommodating breakfast is available at the hotel or at a little cafe less than a minute away which was great if your not an early riser,central location on a side street close the quay, parking 2 minutes away across the road 🤔 our room was small and hot, fan was provided but not powerful enough , Sleep was disturbed due to any noise coming through the sash windows
