"Lovely couple of days away."

Lovely room, quiet, warm with good bedlinen. Bathroom very clean. Many added extras ( such as iron and ironing board, hairdryer, trousers press, bottled water, decanter of sherry) in the room. Lounge available downstairs with wines and beers . Very pleasant breakfast room and terrific breakfasts. English breakfasts were excellent and the range of fruits and cheeses for continental options was fabulous. Owners very friendly and welcoming.

The breakfast was superb there was plenty of choice. My husband had the full English and he said it's one of the best he's ever had. I had the Eggs Benedict which also was superb. The host David was very welcoming and the little touches of having a little night cap of sherry in the room certainly brought a smile to our faces. We had a slight problem with the shower as it wouldn't sit in its cradle without flopping over but they had a rain shower which we used instead and they did provide a shower cap and I'm sure that David will ensure for the next guest that it would be fixed. The location for us was perfect as we needed to be near Altrincham. We were only there one night which was a shame as it would have been nice to have had some walks around the canal and Dunham Massey Park which are all close by, but unfortunately we didn't have the time. There is a pub next door which we ate in and the food was also excellent and I would recommend you to try it whilst you stay there if you get the chance too.

I would say that the towels in the bathroom were a little old and could do with replacing.

Good location and excellent food at nearby pub. Excellent walks including to NT Dunham Massey. Excellent breakfast.

Potential lack of privacy but room not occupied for our stay.
