Citrus Hotel Cheltenham by Compass Hospitality

Hotel room was basic and had a banana left in their by previous occupant.Not much parking available and it was a tight squeeze to fit into the underground parking area.

We enjoyed our stay at the citrus hotel. It was very convenient situated in the city centre within walking distance of all amenities. Plenty of eating out options around you. Parking at the hotel is limited but around the corner is a 24 hour car car with reasonable pricing.

I really like my spacious and bright room. It was very comfortable and the staff was very nice and polite. I would go back to this hotel.

Unclean. Unpleasant. Poor quality. Tired hotel room. Wouldn’t be going back there again. Or to any Citrus hotel. I know it’s a budget hotel but really, this is like student accommodation in the 90s. It’s very noisy and hot. There’s no AC so you need the windows open and the outside of the hotel is a side street where we were asked on two different occasions for money from street beggars, almost directly outside the house. Also the broken glass very close to the entrance just gave the hotel the overall feel of not being cared for or bothered about. Breakfast was ok. But the dining room wasn’t clean. The addition of a dead fly on the window at the breakfast bar looking out at a building site and alleyway was just like the final straw.

The hotel needs updating there was mould in the bathroom and the room was dirty

The hotel is adequate, but don’t use the on site car parking. It is ridiculously tight. I tried, then used elsewhere, which was only a five minute walk away and cheaper.

The hotel is well situated in the centre of town and very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and a good size with a desk for work if needed. It can be a little noisy from revellers at night but not a deal breaker. Just be aware that walls are very thin and you can hear noisy neighbours who are having fun at night, it was a bonus that there wasn’t much stamina
