Hotel Las Colinas

Lovely family owned property in the heart of la Fortuna. Staff were lovely and the hotel as described.

I arrived on a tour with a badly injured foot. The staff were absolutely wonderful from the moment we arrived. They got our room ready early, arranged a table outside the room that we could eat at, helped me walk when needed and even offered me a support boot left by a previous punter. They let us use their phone and found us a spare tour room when we couldn’t continue our trip. The rooms are basic but had air con and good Wi-Fi. Very central and convenient for la fortuna. Food was reasonable too

My stay at the Las Colinas hotel was very comfortable and safe. I stayed 4 nights and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Any questions or special requests I had they did whatever they could to support me. The restaurant was very accommodating to my gluten allergy, which was a great relief. The street noise is quite loud during the day but gets quiet around 10 pm. Common areas were being upgraded while I was there, which was nice to see the investment in the property. I would stay again, the location was great to see the highlights of La Fortuna!

Basic hotel. Tired dated decor. Tiny rooms. Barely enough room to unpack your case. Grotty tiny bathrooms. Very noisy communal area, sound proofing in the room is awful, so you hear all conversations. Upside, room is clean. Most rooms have a view of volcano (if weather allows) and it is situated in the centre of the town.

The property location is excellent and the upper common area is a gem, but a little noisy at night. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Room 28 is clean but smelled overwhelmingly of mildew that dampen our stay. We didn’t ask to change room since the lower common area smelled a little musty also. So we thought all rooms must be about the same.

Liked everything except the Saturday night 3AM motorcycles.

Great location downtown. Junior suite on third floor did not have jacuzzi as advertised. Mini fridge was broken. Construction across the street went until midnight. Road noise was constant all night. We had planned to stay 4 nights but left after 2. They would not give me a receipt stating we left early and said we needed to initiate a refund with the booking service we used. Said no problem for refund. Same thing happened to another group the week before. Booking service said they refused to give us a refund because the construction was not their fault. 2 nights no sleep no refund. Terrible customer service from the manager. Said no refund because we declined moving to another room. Avoid this place unless you want an experience that is not Pura Vida!

Location is right in downtown and 2 min walk to shopping, restaurants. Beautiful park on the corner. You can see volcano from patio and while walking around town. Really good - make to order - breakfast. If you are looking for seclusion, quiet getaway this is not the place because it’s right in town.

The location is amazing! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure we are safe. One staff member accompanied me to the ATM and bus terminal early in the morning to make sure I was safe. The rooms are great quality for the price and they are cleaned every day. There is also AC! I would recommend. Very safe. The only negative is that it didn’t have very strong water pressure in the showers.

The hotel location was convenient, and the staff were wonderful. Bar and restaurant at the property were great. However, the room itself was very bare-bones, and while I’ve stayed at many hotels in Central America, and expected a similar condition, this one had ants in the bed and extremely poor quality air-conditioning. We spent most of our time in the common areas, because the room was extremely hot and unpleasant.
