Cloud Forest Lodge

A beautiful & quiet place to stay near Santa Elena. The rooms are lovely. Very clean & spacious. Each one has a private terrace with an overhanging roof, so you can sit outside even if it is raining. The food is excellent, and we particularly enjoyed our breakfasts. It is walkable into Santa Elena (about 1.5 miles downhill) & easy to get a taxi back and forth into downtown if you don’t have a car. We enjoyed our stay here!

Great views, but we had a lot of clouds and rain, roads are rough driving up, Food and drinks good. Bit expensive for what you get. We did the trails walks was nice to see the forest and animals. Lots of birds feeding while you have your meal. Would not go back.

Great ecolodge experience!

Enjoyed the grounds.

A little hard to find from the road but once you do, you ascend into a lush paradise of trees and wildlife. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to any requests. Breakfasts (included) were great and they had varied menu options. Highly recommend.

The service was excellent, very attentive and met all our needs. The staff were very helpful in making arrangements for activities. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and more than adequate for luggage and hanging our clothing. The included breakfast was delicious and was even prepared nicely to go for us to accommodate an early departure. The hummingbirds in the morning were a bit. They lodge provided ponchos and boots for our use which were much appreciated. We highly recommend this lodge for a wonderful cloud forest adventure in Monteverde.

This lodge is excellent. Rooms are not fancy but big and clean with a great bathroom. Excellent breakfast where you can see the humming birds as they have bird feeders. All the staff v friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves food all day so we were able to have late lunch after our activities

An amazing experience. Elegant. Excellent dining. Convenient tours all arranged for us. We only regret not having stayed longer.

Large spacious room and bathroom everything you need and comfortable. Very clean. Quality of food here is excellent especially breakfast. Welcoming lounge area with real fire. Got to see magnificent birdlife here especially Hummingbirds due to bird feeders. Other bird species here too. Need a 4x4 to get here as road to lodge is a challenge, just about managed it in a sedan. Only disappointing thing was couldn't provide umbrellas nor ponchos, said didn't have enough even though they only have q5 suites & advertise these facilities. So not to deliver them is disappointing. Restaurant staff were excellent.
