"nice hotel, no immediate staff"

This hotel was pleasant and clean. However, it is owned by a different company from the main hotel and uses their lobby to help check people in. If you need anything or have questions, they direct you to a phone number to contact the manager who isn't on site. There was a DVD player in the room so we went to rent a DVD. Unfortunately, we found out it didn't work and it was about 11pm so there was nothing we could do to get it to work. We wasted our money renting the DVD and were really disappointed we couldn't watch it.

"Villas at L'Auberge No Sleep"

If you want to be up every 15 min all night long- the Villas at L'Auberge is the perfect place for you! No where in the description of this very expensive resort does it mention the train tracks which run approximately 75 ft below you and directly out your back view. This train was soooo loud that we were startled awake every time it barreled through. Ugh. Worst nights sleep period of any hotel I've ever stayed at. AVOID AT ALL COST.

"Villas L'Aubergeis NOT L'Auberge!"

Villas at L'Auberge are NOT the Hotel L'Auberge. These units are old and tired; something from the mid to late 90s. The beds weren't comfortable and there wasn't A/C. We did receive a private parking spot, but it was so small that we needed to unload prior to parking and then climb out the passenger side. (No kidding.) I would never stay here again.

"Nice stay at the villa l'auberge"

Great location adjacent to the main L'Auberge with resort amenities at the main hotel extended to us, which was great. Check in was tricky: you check in at the main resort but even some of the hotel staff did not know that and the check in process was long because only the manager could figure it out (think 30+ minutes). The facilities were lovely once inside and we enjoyed it. Great access to beach and shops, restaurants of Del Mar.
