Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Bloomfield

At check-in, I received no info about complimentary breakfast nor hours there of. After first night, maid service was great. After 2nd night, the room was not touched -- bed not made up,wastebaskets not emptied, etc.

I recently booked a reservation at the Cobblestone Hotel in Bloomfield, Iowa for one night for a family memorial. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I had booked a room, then my plans changed, my sister in law had a medical emergency. I called to cancel my reservation 48 hours in advance and was able to cancel my room but had to pay a $140 cancellation fee! I have never heard of such a thing. Especially over 24 hours in advance. The room rate was $140 plus a $60 charge for taxes and local amenities. They did refund the $60, but kept the $140. I have stayed at many various hotels, and because of this, I rate this hotel chain a very poor due to their cancelation fees and rudeness on the phone. Possible legal actions is pending!

My room was clean. The mattresses and pillows could use replacement. The refrigerator was spacious and worked very well. There is no elevator. Keep that in mind when packing. The stairwells were dirty. Looked like they had not been vacuumed in months. The staff were very friendly when you could find them. Breakfast was ok. Not great. Some fresh fruit, oatmeal, individual milks (not a gallon jug laying sideways in a mini fridge) would have been better. They did have egg, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy as well as a waffle maker. There is only one other hotel in town, so I may have to stay here again in the future for family gatherings. I don't think it's as nice as I remember it about 10 years ago, but I've stayed at worse hotels. This one is mid.

Super friendly and helpful front desk staff… My room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious as well… Entire facility is very well maintained and welcoming. I highly recommend this place especially in this area because your other option is way below my standards… Consistently this hotel is clean, comfortable and affordable.
