clean and close to ferry to Cozumel, next to food, shops, bars.

No one spoke English which is understood being Mexico but still frustrating being right in middle of the tourist spot. The tv did not work, you have to do WiFi at front desk nothing in room to tell you and no phone to call them. Room was tiny. Went to beach and they said they didn’t have chairs left even thought there were 15 stacked behind him. Bar and pool closes at 6. They even close off so you can’t even walk to beach they put up gates before sun even set. The door to the room is sliding glass with very old hard to open lock. Once you walk in room the bed is against the wall and just enough room to walk on other side. The ac was barely cool. You are one block from bus station and two from ferry and one block from the tourist street with all the shops and restaurants. You get what you pay for. It’s not bad if your just looking for a bed for the night but I wouldn’t stay here again if I was actually on vacation.

Angles online made room look bigger and thought there was an actual private lanai with room but regardless overall stay was still nice Workers at front desk were amazing.

The people are friendly and they really do try to keep the place clean. Unfortunately it's a bit run down and needs major remodeling. I wish I could say better, because the staff was very friendly, but rooms are a bit sketchy. I will say that the location is right on the beach and footsteps away from 5th Ave.

Very friendly small beachfront hotel with a pretty pool and loungers. Great location for convenience to the ferry and bus station. The price is very reasonable in the off-season and it’s right on the beach and includes breakfast. They have loungers on the beach and a bar/restaurant on site. I like to stay here if I come to Playa for a night or two, although I avoid weekends because the throbbing sound of nightclubs carries down the beach and it can be noisy. I really like the oceanfront king rooms because the sliding doors open onto the beach and the sound of the waves is wonderful.

We stayed in a Oceanview room, which had an excellent view. There are only upstairs rooms with oceanviews (5, I think) and you can see Cozumel on the horizon. There are only stairs- no elevator, which was fine with us. The staff was very helpful, and accommodated all of our requests. We would absolutely stay here again, the price/value was the best we've had in the Playa del Carmen area.

First let me say the staff was nice. Our room ended up being ok also, but it cost us more. This hotel has two separate areas. The rooms across the road are dumpy, but the ones by the pool are ok. When you get the really good rate, you won’t get a nice room. I don’t know if this is the booking companies fault or the hotels fault, but the hotel tries to upsell you to the better room. For us it was an extra $40 US each day. So it feels like you got ripped off. The room pictures you see online are of the nicer rooms. We were too tired to try to find a better room so we paid extra. Several others we saw also “upgraded”. The hotel is used to this and has a whole process in place to try to get you to pay extra for the nicer room that you already thought you were getting. We will not stay here again!
