MAZI Design Hotel by Kalima

I would like to say the design of the hotel and location was great. Very close to the night life and restaurants. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Cons: the hotel was next to a canal and I’m assuming that’s why there were a MILLION mosquitos in our room and in the restaurant. Bring TONS of bugs spray. The room we were in had a foul smell coming from the drains. Thank goodness my boyfriend brought Tea Tree oil with him so we were able to pour some down the drain and it helped a bit. There are no doors on the shower so water was EVERYWHERE.

The room was great for the price I paid and location. This is at walking distance to Bangla street and Patong beach. There was wifi available as well, and free breakfast. I also had rental car which I parked right at the entrance of hotel, so that worked out fine as well.

The hotel was nice - clean, with an extremely nice pool area. The front desk staff was super helpful and welcomed us with refreshing towels and tea. The only issue with the room was the bed. It was ridiculously hard. After almost 24 hours of traveling, I was able to fall asleep, but probably would have had problems in a normal instance. Also, the wifi was out during my stay.

The hotel is in a good area of you prefer to sleep away from the busiest areas of Patong beach, but everywhere is easily accessible by walking and taxi. There is a great market across the road which is perfect for fruit and cheap dinner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities were reasonable, gym quite small and not much sun in seating areas around the pool, but overall everything was clean and accessible. Room was nice and cleaned very well.

Abit over rated, hotel don't provide toothbrush and is abit of distance to the beach. Walking distance to Simon Cabaret though, but this is not what you want everyday. In the end rented a car to travel.

Great location, food market across the street, nice pool, friendly staff.

The stay here was mediocre at best. The a/c unit ran lukewarm and the walls seem thin as you can hear the people talk in the next room. Not recommended for families with small children at all. The baby crib that was supplied was extremely dirty and broken.Baby was teething and kept putting his mouth on the edge of it, causing his mouth to smell like rotten fish. Mazi hotel said they would not do to anything to fix the problem so I had to go to purchase soap and thoroughly clean it myself. Would not stay here again, family or not.

great 4 star hotel,great staff and respectful ,good location

Loved our stay at Mazi Hotel! The staff was friendly, the hotel was very modern and clean. Definitely get the breakfast package! It was our favorite time of the day. The pool was also very lovely. The gym was small but efficient! The ocean view rooms are a bit smaller than the regular rooms (we booked 2 rooms in the hotel), but it was nice to wake up to the view of the ocean far away! Overall, very happy with our stay!

The charges for bring in the same guest of 500 bahts is a bit too much. Write out the rules and regulations a board so the guest may able to understand when going on.
