MAZI Design Hotel by Kalima

We stayed here for four nights. Excellent A/c, clean, restaurant attached to hotel and friendly staff. Only diss appointment was the size of the pool, which we didn't use due to its size.

This was our second time at the Mazi and they never fail to impress. Although the rooms are slightly small. The service from the staff is fantastic. It is quiet, yet close to Patong beach, the Otop complex and plenty of shops. Highly recommended and fantastic value.

Its not a 4 stars hotel it can take only 3 stars! The rooms are gloomy, there's no wardrobe the pool are always dirty! But overall the hotel are ok if you take it only for sleeping!

Don't be deceived by the pictures online. This hotel is in need of repairs. Definitely not what I expected when I booked it.

The hotel has a front construction (supposedly newer) and an older and remodeled building in the back. We were given a room in the back. No elevators so we had to lift all our bags to the third floor. We were helped by the staff. The halls were really messy with temporary beds left in the corridors along with a bunch of cleaning supplies and stuff that in general should have not been there like a ladder. tool boxes.... The room looked ok but the balcony was facing the back with a terrible view on a water canal. The location is quite far from everything so we had to pay taxi rides back and forth and in Phuket taxis and tuk-tuk are a real rip off. Long story short, two hours after the checking, we left this dump and went to another hotel. FYI, the hotel staff didn't even bother to ask us why and I did not complain at all since these people have no hope. Overrated hotel for the money. Not worth more than half of what they ask for it.

Mazi Design Hotel is conveniently located just 500 meters from Patong beach and diagonally opposite Malin Plaza, which comprises a cluster of eating places and shops, which cater to a tourist's checklist. 7Eleven and FamilyMart are just next to the hotel. The hotel rooms are very thoughtfully designed, with angled French-type windows, artistically furnished with white lace curtains and dark brown blinds, which can be easily aligned to regulate incoming light. The room interiors are tastefully done, with good architecture for luxury and comfort, and artistic paintings on walls for elegance and ambiance. Room lighting is also good, but a slight disappointment for those who prefer a brightly lit room. The gymnasium and swimming pool, though compact, provide the perfect setting for relaxation. The staff was very cordial at the reception and the restaurant and did everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is worth the price and provides real value for the time and money invested.

Very nice hotel for the money

Stayed in the basic accommodation so get what you pay for. Staff were fantastic the whole trip especially at front desk. Pool is lovely for cooling off. Hotel is in good location. Would not recommend the hotel restaurant at all terrible food (save your money for the thousands that surround patong). However that said everything else was good value.

Rooms not clean. Not ready when we arrived at 2pm in the afternoon. Disappointing.
