Hotel Piena Kobe

We are very satisfied to staying there!! Breakfast buffet was great as we remembered!

Only Japanese television channels, otherwise everything was fine. The bed was very comfortable, with a lovely quilt.

Walking distance from Shin Kobe and Nunobiki herb garden Cable Car base station. Good eateries around including Kokoroya at Sannomiya. Breakfast buffet at hotel is splendid. Luggage’s forwarding facility easy to use. Highly recommended.

Nice, clean and spacious room as compared to other hotels

We originally booked 2 nights at this hotel and we're so impressed with the cleanliness, size of the room and super comfy bed that we booked a further 2 nights, we paid about $100 US a night, can't recommend this hotel enough, the only slight let down was there was a high step to get into the bathroom but everything else was perfect, 15 mins walk from Kobe station and about 10 mins into town.

Although the room is small, the bed is comfortable.

Decent boutique hotel for the price...............

The hotel was quiet inside even though on a busy road. It was located a short walk from shops, cafes and train station. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Checking in was not a very good first impression. Firstly, depending on hotel staff (like the one who received us) language could be an issue. We were assigned twin beds, when we requested for a double the staff gave us options to change rooms almost every day of our stay, alternating between a twin to a double and back again. The standard room was a little tight but clean and comfortable. The hotel has bigger suites that look very nice... if you can afford them. Once we have settled down, we quite enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was fantastic.The hotel was quite centrally located to the Sannomiya Station, to the Church, restaurants, parks, etc Other than the staff who received us, the other staff were pleasant and helpful - one even took the time to give us very detailed instruction to travel to Himeji Castle (i.e. when and what trains to take, etc). All in, we enjoyed our stay... did I mention that the breakfast was fantastic? :-)

Breakfast is ok but not brilliant. Paying 2300 yen you would get a lot more varieties and better quality in other hotels. We were staying in top floor suite, the cleanliness is not up to Japanese standard. Staff service is poor especially night staffs, no smiles at all and not very helpful even when not busy. We travel around Japan for many years, we know what we can expect from a 3 and 4 stars hotels.
