"Great for the Price"

10.0

The hotel was perfect for our one night stay prior to getting up early to head to the airport. It was clean, friendly staff and had hot water in the bathroom! Our relatives who stayed in a room separate from ours said that their air conditioning did not work well at all, but ours was wonderful. We left prior to the complimentary breakfast hours. The parking is underground and secure, which is very nice.

"You get What You Paid For!!!"

6.0

Price: $59.00 per night. If you are looking for a Luxurious Hotel, this is not the Hotel you would want to stay at but if you are looking just for a place to spend one night before your trip to the airport to catch your flight early in the morning, than you might consider this hotel. This hotel's location is perfect. About 35 minutes away from the International Airport and just a few minutes away from the shopping malls "MultiPlasa" and "La Gran Villa" and just one block walking distance from the Super Market "Selectos". The room was an average room, it had what you need: AC, small fridge, an ok bed but very small pillows (and you only get 2 pillows), a flat screen tv with cable service and a bathroom with a tub and hot and cold water. My experience: The night we arrived we were welcome at the lobby. The front desk agent was just basic on his personality and straight to the point which is fine with me. The moment I we walked in the room it had this strange smell but once you are in the room I guess you get use to it. The table lamps did not work at all and the main lighting is very dim so I requested to have the lamps changed and so the front desk guy was very helpful coming up to replace both lamps. Continental Breakfast was included just for one person in the room and for the 2nd person it only cost $5.00. It had a verity of food selections like "Omelets, refried beans, cereal, milk, coffee, "Pan dulce", orange juice, oatmeal, bread, butter, Salvadoran cheese and cream. At the time of check out, Nelly who was working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I went to get the car from the parking garage and as I pulled in to the front of the hotel lobby I found out that the car had a flat tire. I quickly need to get it changed since I was running out of time and Nelly was quick enough to radio one of her co-workers who seem to be like the maintenance guy. He came and in a blink of an eye he replaced the flat tire with a good one. I was very thank full and glad they had solved my problem. Over all, the hotel might not be the greatest and in perfect conditions but they got some great employees working there.

"Good"

6.0

I only stayed for a few hours but had a quiet, restful stay. I do not have anything to say regarding the service since I did not use any. I do have the following observation. Whoever owns the hotel has obviously spent quite a bit of money, and yet the devil is in the details, the carpets both in the hallway and room are tatty, the wallpaper was poorly fitted as were many fixtures as if by amateur workmen. My pet monkey could have done a better job. The bathroom layout was awkward with the toilet crammed into a little corner space. Why splurge on a large room with nice appointments then scrimp on the bathroom? The ceiling was of poor manufacture and not well fitted. With bulging panels. The shower did work properly and produced abundant hot water.

"Would not recommend hotel"

4.0

The listing on the hotel site should definitively mention that there is construction going on across the street. We could not sleep for the time we were there. The construction work started at about 6 am and ended about 4pm. So we were were forced to get up after the construction started. We were also disappointed with the service. The clock in the room did not work and had to be replaced. All tv stations except English CNN worked. Of course we needed the English CNN to keep up with news in a Spanish speaking country. There was obviously something wrong with the satellite because the sound would come and go on CNN. Mostly go. We were not able to get the news other than read the captions. On the third day the water stopped running as I was washing my face and getting ready to take a shower.I had to call the housekeeper to call downstairs to get it turned back on. We still don't know why the water went off in the morning since the housekeeper spoke no English. We picked the hotel because it looked good on site and it was conveniently located for our needs. Price was also an issue. However when we return to San Salvador next year we will certainly pay more to get service, no construction noise and consistent water.
