Not much however the staff we wonderful

The road in was not good, it was raining and we had to be rescued)the road out worse. Multiple equipment failure including the safari trucks with no backup, we didn't get to do the Elephant experience or a game drive. We left a day early ( no refund so far) the fire wasn't working in our original room and the path to it was downright dangerous with poor lighting.

Location was great

Do not underestimate the problem with the road to get there

Restaurant und Aufenthaltsraum sind sehr schön, auch das Aussendeck ist toll. Die Hütten für die Übernachtung liegen jedoch etwas abseits.

Die Hütte für die Übernachtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und könnten eine Auffrischung gut vertragen. Die Fotos auf der Booking Platform suggerieren Wildlife am Wasserloch neben dem Haupthaus, ausser ein paar Rehen haben wir nichts gesehen. Die Elephanten und Giraffen waren am Morgen aus ca.1km Entfernung zu sehen. Der Poolbereich sollte dringend gereinigt werden. Die Lodge liegt sehr abseits und nur über eine Naturstrasse erreichbar.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Olivia and Cindy in particular but all were delightful. Food was good. Nice traditional delicious dishes well cooked and presented. Tented cabins were comfy with wonderful outdoor shower. Great birding location. Central reception lounge and dining area is stunning. Staff went out of their way to celebrate my elderly mother’s birthday. Thank you very much.

Disappointed that the game drive vehicles were both out of order and no back had been arranged. Bit of maintenance needed to ensure all path lights working and room doors open. Bit more lighting in the dining room and in the rooms would be helpful.

WE WERE MISLEAD REGARDING THE DISTANCE TO Addo FROM THE LODGE AND HOW POOR THE ACCESS WAS. The advent of noisy young children spoilt the quiet and serenity. No children under 12 should be allowed. The food was food but for the price it was too plain with no frills. Snacks should be served together with the drinks at the pool and cushions and towels should be put out as quests should not have to chase after them

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The rooms were well looked after and except for the poor access roads and the distance the stay was lovely. {apologies, I wrote my comments in the wrong boxes!}
