Good For an overnight Stay for a Local Bike Race

We paid $180 for our room. We expected something decent for that price. At check-in, the attendant kept answering her cell phone and the land line. She proceeded to tell me her kids were calling her cell. Finally get to our room and it was gross. There was a nasty stain on the center of the bed spread, hairs on the bathroom sink, carpet edges filthy, 1 washcloth and 2 towels for 4 people, no pillow cases on the extra pillows, 1 pillow had a brown stain, 1 bed pillow with case had a black stain on it (mascara?). We would have left and demanded our money back but it was spring break and everywhere was booked, it was storming out, and we just needed a quick rest before continuing on our drive. We definitely didn’t even dare to eat breakfast there because if their rooms are that gross, then I doubt the food prep is sanitary either. I went online the next day to check prices for mid-week 2 weeks down the road and it was only $58 per night. That is a more appropriate price for a divy hotel.

The property was worn but clean. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The only negative we found was people smoking around the building and, on the morning we checked out, someone was smoking (we believe) in the room below or adjacent to ours as our vanity and bathroom smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. We would stay here again our next Monteagle visit.

Pleasantly surprised, the room was comfortable and clean. It was nicer than I was expecting for the price.

I booked the room online the night prior only to be told at check-in that there had been a glitch in system and they over-booked 30 rooms. We were “given” a room at the motel located behind the property. Staff at Super 8 were very polite. However we paid for 2 queens and were given 2 dbls at a motel that was a much lower quality. I was not told that I would receive a reduced rate. Police were present at the Mountain inn when we checked in. Manager/owner? was pleasant. The note the Super 8 gave was that we booked 2Qs. I verbalized this again. I asked the officers if we would be ok to stay here. It had been 11 hours of driving and we were tired. They would not give me a straight answer, which was concerning. They did inform me that if we leave our room, we need to take our belongings with us, especially laptops/valuables, because of the housekeeping staff. We had no intention of leaving until morning. They did say that the doors/locks are secure, so we atayed. The staff were friendly, but the one gentleman was hanging out right outside our room with some buddies, who were all drinking Liquor. Minimal noise, so we ignored it. Room was sparse, minimal towels (not nearly enough for 4 guests), no TP. The staff from outside was supposed to be bringing that to us but after 15, I called the front desk. He was there right away, apologized. No indications of bugs or other uncleanliness, but carpets are clearly old and worn and blankets had cigarette burns. Strong smell of dust/must

Wanted a partial refund but owner out of country and no one said it would happen. Hair in tub, sink and bathroom floor. Carpet hadn’t been swept either. Stool had water turned off to it because it was plugged up.

What a s#!t hole! Went for breakfast an hour after it started and EVERYTHING was gone. No one at the front desk and a room of about 15 people angry about service and no employees to be found for 30 minutes before we left in disgust. That was after the police showed up to file reports of the staff stealing from guests. Mold on the bathroom ceiling, no hot water and dirty rooms/facilities. DO NOT STAY HERE! I am disappointed with Hotels.com for even listing this proporty

It was awful, checked in late and my room still wasnt ready, had my reservation down months and months before. asked to be down stairs because i have a small child and they lady said ok will do, when i called to confirmed the day before. I was put up stairs, so i asked for help to get my stuff up, the lady at the desk said someone will meet me there, so i said ok, then waited 20 mins for someone to come help (no one showed up) while waiting, they were cleaning my room, and the guest in the next room was complaining about the desk chair sinking down to low when he sits, goes in my room pulls out the chair wheels it back to his room, takes the other one out and pushes to the house keeper and said here this belongs in this room, on my opinion he has absolutely NO reason to go in there that the house keepers should and thats it. And it was a shady neighborhood. So i redused to stay there. Never again will i even consider it.

The room they had for us was extremely unclean. We did not want to stay after seeing our room. Front desk worker very nice. Manager was pretty rude with my husband when we asked to file a complaint to get our money back.
