Great location, close to the high st. Good breakfast and really comfy bed, nice room (no4) let down by the bathroom though which is small with a poor layout and needs a refurb, we’d definitely stay again with the hope that the bathroom might be sorted.

Food was ok nothing to brag about. The owner though had a nerve to come 30 min before the next reservation for the table to tell us her guests have arrived! Well who are we then?! We have not even finished our wine. And the manner this was said was completely unnecessary. When we sat down we knew the table was booked from 19:00 and we were planning to leave at 18:50 anyway for our train and after finishing the wine. Message to the owner - review your approach!

With five rooms above a really good pub/restaurant, The Bosun's Chair have created delightful bedrooms with en suite facilities: simply styled, spotlessly clean and well equipped. In an historic building, you'll need to be mindful of the narrow staircase, hefty sash windows and slightly angled doorframes (and doors!) although these add to the charm of the setting (very close to railway station and town centre). Breakfast was really good, as are the friendly and helpful staff.

A really lovely pub, beautifully decorated inside and out. Fabulous garden with large covered tented area. We stayed in a gorgeous top floor room which was tasteful, clean and comfortable. Good sized room and bathroom with shower in a bath. No double glazing as original sash windows so a little bit of outside noise and it was a warm night so left windows open but fan provided. Perfect location as 3 minute walk to the quay. Host was very friendly and welcoming as were his team. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and beautifully cooked. We were all delighted with our stay, we came on bikes and there was a nice secure car park. Definitely a 5 star bed and breakfast.

Love this place, the staff are amazing and so helpful, definitely going back and so local to the high street,train station will definitely be booking another stay. The food is delicious an amazing breakfast included.

This pub is a hidden gem right near the train station. Aspalls cider on tap, nice friendly helpful staff and a lovely lavender garden with large canopy area too. We enjoyed delicious large portioned scampi meals. Can’t wait to revisit in sept!

I cycled in to Lymington. A sunny bank holiday Friday so I thought - why not stop somewhere for a pint? The Bosuns was convenient to the quay and I was impressed with the beer garden. Some musicians turned up so I decided to stay for food and one or two more pints! The spicy bean chilli was lovely. Reasonably priced for beer and food. The pub is really well set up and lively vibrant atmosphere. It's probably the best pub in Lymington from my vast experience! Staff are lovely and friendly and I can look forward to some Beatles covers later!
