"Holiday August 2025"

6.0

We stayed in the bungalow which was 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, in one of the rooms the ‘beds’ were just two sofa beds which were rock hard, the room was also dated and we had the smell of sewage almost every evening. We had 2 days where the beds were not made and water not replinshed etc. Inside the restaurant there were hundreds of flies you can see the staff had tried to make an effort to stop them by putting out smoke but they were still everywhere. The children’s food was also very limited, pasta and chips essentially. Unfortunately like others have said I was ill during the holiday for around 4 days with stomach pains and nausea, my 4 year old also suffered from vomiting. The location itself is stunning and the pools and beach were nice, the staff tried their best but unfortunately a lot of them were young and didn’t understand or speak basic English. Given the hotels 5 star rating I think people expect a lot more when they get here, the hotel is ok but no where near a 5 star it is more like a 3. Overall it was ok (illness aside) but wouldn’t come back.

"Food poisoning alert ! Please be aware !"

4.0

Me, my husband and son are still here and it’s our 4th day of staying at this hotel. On the second day my son fallen ill after his dinner and kept throwing up evening and night. I want to say thank you to Sevgi ( cleaning lady ), who changed the dirty sheets following morning and gave me some extra paper to wipe the floor in case of more sick accidents. Had to go to the pharmacy, which is located about 10 minutes bus ride in Ozdere nearby. Still he’s not fully recovered and on the top of that my husband got ill with upset stomach too. Yesterday we went to A-La Carte Fish Restaurant ( located on the ground floor ) and when my son got his plate - an alive insect /bug was sitting stuck on the pasta, which made things even worse ( picture below ). Calamari was not edible , not cooked properly and we’ve sent it back to the kitchen. One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. And I am between them both running around hotel-pharmacy-hotel trying to make them feel better 😢. One of the biggest problems here is flies ! Yes flies are everywhere - especially it’s almost impossible to eat at the main restaurant as they crawl / sit on the food, which is uncovered. No wonder why many people write reviews about being sick here as Hygiene Standards are very poor. Staff here is fine, lots of training from the customer service is needed as the way they answer to you may sound rather rude and impolite ( I think mainly because English is not their first language and that’s understandable) . The only good thing here is location and the sea, and that’s all about it. But sea is everywhere you go around Turkey and I am sure there are many hotels to choose from next time. Having said this all , i wouldn’t recommend people to come here if they don’t want to risk their health with food poisoning, which seems to be the very common amongst the people staying here. I don’t think this hotel is qualified to be rated a 5 star one, I’d give it a 3.5 stars maximum until they improve their services from every corner. I am so sorry to have written this review but so far - it’s been one of our unlucky/sad experiences on holiday. Kind regards, Zhanna

"The WORST Holiday Ever"

2.0

The room are so bad the food is not good making people throw up the amount of people I've seen throw up i dont get why this place is a five star theres barely any hospitality the room state in the bungalows is horrible the smell is bad the bathrooms or old and dirty the stuff in the bathrooms are broken its not fair for other beacause they even refuse to move your room and also help your situation and help others instead of the people complaining what I've seen from staff is favouritism im not sure if they like people who speak English or whatever but they definitely dont like it when me or my family complain and talk to them even my baby cousin who is just months old threw up because of the dirty state of this hotel is say this hotel has to be a three star but there's other way they could improve by. 1. Rooms: Upgrading the bathrooms changing the sheets of the bed when people leave after make sure its nice comfy for people to sleep in it. 2. Food: Make sure the staff who cook the food wear gloves I've seen staff sneeze dont use the gloves and also wipe there nose sweat and they touch the food so be mindful and remind to wear gloves. 3. Entertainment courses: I've seen the golf court and tennis area there in poor situation and needs Upgrading because you guys hould have the responsibility to clean and upgrade the Entertainment Courses. 4: bathrooms: need to be clean every hour at least beacause what I have seen is disgusting. That's all bye

"A disappointing week!!"

4.0

Just arrived back from a week at the Aria Claros hotel and spa. After reflecting on our week it’s 100% somewhere we would not return. 😔 The disappointing parts (and there are quite a few)! The food hall was always very busy, some days you struggled to find a seat. The food is bland, cold, watery and always the same stuff served. There are flies everywhere crawling over the food 🤢 And there had been multiple outbreaks of food poisoning including my husband who went down with food poisoning on our last day. This made the local news whilst we were there as the cases were high!! And word of warning.. we wouldn’t recommend the Italian restaurant within the hotel we were shown to our table to be confronted by our starters that had been left on the table ready for us, but these had multiple amounts of flies crawling all in it and no idea as to how long they had been sat there in the heat? 🤢 The buggies that cart you around the resort.. unless you’re German or Turkish you won’t get one! It became very apparent that these buggies are very much for the nationalities above and when your English you get left waiting for ages, asked to get off to let the other Turkish families in or taken on big detours to drop them off first! They also drive at ridiculous speeds normally one handed and with a mobile phone in the other.. how there hasn’t been an accident I have no clue!! The report itself is looking tired! The pool areas are dirty, scum lines on all the walls of the pool, broken tiles, broken sunbeds. Hotel rooms are small and basic with the worst hard uncomfortable beds. The gym has seen better days, broken equipment, seat pads that look like they have had a pack of rats attack them. The spa area was nice however we paid extra to use the hot tub within the spa.. but totally disappointed as it was stone cold, we were told they don’t bother heating it (would have been nice to have been told that before we booked) we wouldn’t have bothered! The reception team are a bunch of kids, who most of all don’t speak English so good luck trying the get them to help with anything they can’t even understand what your saying! Free WiFi on site however is weak and barely works!! There is almost no signal anywhere which is frustrating. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, very remote! Wish we had known this! To go anywhere outside of the hotel is a paid taxi drive away. The shops on site are expensive and out there prices up as they know people have no other choice to go elsewhere! The good bits (there isn’t much) The Entertainment team were all very good, lovely bunch of people who try very hard to make activities fun! They work very long hours and are not treated the best by management. The shows in the evening are good, the seating in theatre area is up high and in darkness so be careful when navigating your way around! And don’t go before 10 or you have to sit through hours of kid dancing and raffle prizes.. it’s sooooo boring!! Special shout out to Fatima in the entertainment team. We loved her!! ❤️ She sat with us every evening and played games and in the day time always interacted with us, she was so fun and friendly and big asset to your team! We will 100% miss her! 😭 The water slides were ok, however not safe as lifeguard who was watching the slides was seen on multiple occasions online shopping on her phone whilst on shift! The view and private beach is a big positive to the hotel, it’s beautiful! Honestly to sum up a big disappointing week we have stayed in much nicer hotels and this is 100% not a 5 star!! I wouldn’t waste your money!!

"Avoid this hotel way better hotels in Turkey"

4.0

So we stayed at this hotel from July 28th - Aug 11th. See below list of issues 1. First night arrived late with 3 young kids and father in 70s. We were put into a room infested with Ants. There was ants in the kids beds and all over the bathroom. 2. Next morning we moved to the hotel form the bungalows at a cost of 300 euros 3. Free Wi-Fi?? More like no Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi coverage was shocking. 4. We could not sit out on the balcony due to smell of sewage 5. Only entertainment in the hotel was in the Amphitheatre which is safety hazard due lack of lighting and only one exit/egress point. 6. For such a big complex they had no children's playground 7. The food was so bad. We ate outside the hotel for the last few nights 8. Reception teams lack of English. if you are an international hotel have employees who not only speak but understand the language. 9. Constantly having to ask for the mini bar to be restocked and toilet roll to be provided 10. This didn't effect me but some bars charged for drinks after midnight despite this been sold as an inclusive! 11. We booked one of there 3 buffet restaurants one night and when we arrived they had no reservation for us (back to buffet!) They sent us a bowl of fruit as nice gesture due to there mistake. (Fruit we get in the buffet!!) 12. Our shower was blocked and we reported it to reception. They came and changed the shower head. Just to add the staff are nice and friendly and despite the above we had a great holiday but I would never recommend this hotel or ever stay again, we stayed in Kusadasi in May and June and hotel were fantastic.

"Enjoyed our stay, but would say it’s 4* not 5"

8.0

We just got back from a week at this resort, we had a great time. A week was enough as there is nothing else locally unless doing paid trips etc.. but it was a good place to relax. It says it’s a 5 star hotel but in my opinion it on a par with other 4 star hotels I have been to with similar amenities. So I will run through the good, and bot so good. Check in was very efficient and we had a sea view room in one of the apartment blocks. The room was clean and tidy but not luxury. Plenty of space for 5. Rooms were cleaned daily and fridge was stocked daily with bottles of water, ideal. The hotel sits in its own bay on a hillside location. I liked the hills as got my daily steps in but if you want to be lazy or are less able to walk there are electric carts that can take you about. The pool areas were really good and there were plenty of beds including lots under trees by the kiddies section. The main pool are was clean and plenty of beds but unless you got there early any beds with shade were quickly snapped up. The hotel put more beds and shades out towards the end of the week at the main pool. People were leaving towels out before 7am and not returning until lunch time which was a bit annoying. The water park was fun and was well manned. At first all I could hear was the lifeguards whistle which could be a bit annoying but then I saw why, people seem to have a lack of hearing when they are being asked to vacate the bottom of the slides so they have to use their whistles to get their attention. I also saw the lifeguards enter the water twice on one morning as parents seem to let their kids down the slides even if they can’t swim or have appropriate aids on. The not so good, we chose the hotel as it has a gym. But let’s just say it has seen better days, the equipment was well worn, and some seemed to be falling apart or didn’t work. Couple this with the fact it was filthy it was really disappointing, and at times it was busy so it does get used. The rest of the hotel is really clean so not sure why they would allow this area to be so neglected. Also, don’t bother with mini golf, it’s so neglected it’s unplayable. As for food, it was an eclectic mix at times but what we had was tasty. I was glad they didn’t serve chicken nuggets everyday as it made my kids try some other things. Some areas had biggish queues like the grill area outside but they moved fairly quickly. We used 2 of the a la carte restaurants and we had really nice meals so recommend these. But when you book you have to pre-order your food with guest relations. The snack bars were good and each had slightly different theme. The main restaurant is big with food spread out so can be quite hard to find some things, but after the first day it was easy to navigate. The beach was great, lots of bed a shades and the water was lovely. There are water sports if you wanted to try them most at an additional cost but this is normal. There are showers and changing areas at the beach which was handy and places to clean your feet off. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening the acts were very good, the music can be very loud if you have your doors open but I didn’t mind the music from the disco bar. And we couldn’t hear it once the door was closed. The entertainment team were good and my kids certainly enjoyed the pool party just 2 hours before we were due to leave so it was a quick shower at the beach and get changed. The resort felt safe and had its own little shopping area with a jewellers, clothes, bags, photography, tattoos, general shop for gifts etc.. a doctors and hairdresser. Can recommend the photographers, we got some lovely photos and not overly expensive. The arcade/bowling area is good for kids but this is payable but as we were all inclusive we didn’t mind this little extra expense. We didn’t use the spa but it looked nice. I do recommend this hotel but feel it could be improved in a few little areas to make it great. It is ideal for all age ranges.

"Poor Hygiene and bad food quality"

4.0

Worst Holiday I’ve been in on Turkey. Positives first: the Location and the View Negatives: the rest. Where do I even begin? The food is terrible. It’s plain and many Visitors suffered from stomach Pain including myself leading me to even throw up and feel sick for days. The poor food standards might also be a result of the poor hygiene. The Bathroom is very dirty and smells and the beds are uncomfortable. If you stay in a bungalow you’ll have one king sized bed, a normal sized one and a room with two “beds” that are just sofas and hard as a rock. Unacceptable for a 5 Star Hotel. Really disappointed as I invested so much money into this Vacation.

"Excellent holiday experience"

10.0

The hotel is very clean, the staff is very helpful. The hotel is in a large area but there is a shuttle service in 5 minutes. I would like to thank all the employees who have been working hard to make our holiday a good one since the first moment. The food is very good and varied. The beach and sea are perfect, there are lifeguards in the pools at all times and they are really attentive. We will definitely prefer it next year.

"Family holiday 2025"

8.0

Really nice hotel and location on a lovely bay. Guest relations supported with booking the a la carte restaurants. Made my wife’s 50th special. The pool areas are very good for families with children with lots of slides. Beach front location also good for beach lovers.

"Pros mainly outweigh cons - not a 5 start resort for me."

6.0

I just spent 7 nights at this hotel, and we enjoyed our stay, I would agree with other reviews a few tweaks needed to make it 5-star though, compared to other all inclusive resorts I've stayed in (not in Turkey). To summarise: Pros: - Picturesque location - genuinely really beautiful. - Great facilities. My kids (10 & 8) really enjoyed the water park and the slides were well supervised, safety was taken seriously which so often not the case. - Private beach with lovely clean sand and sea, really convenient its literally just an integral part of the hotel and a stones throw from the pools, pool bar etc. - Staff consistently friendly, helpful and attentive - a real asset to the hotel. - Recommend the theme (Italian, Turkish & Fish) restaurants - book these on your first day as they fill up quick - aside from the food, the terraces where these are held are really nice and you can get some great holiday photos with the sea/sunset in the background. - No daft 5am sunbed runs needed, but do need to get in there around 8/9am to get somewhere half decent or anywhere at all on some days. - We had a 9pm flight and they couldn't do late checkout as fully booked, but did let us stay in the resort after the midday checkout time and eat food, use showers in the spa after being all day in the pools etc. - i know some other resorts do this but not all do, so a nice touch. Cons: - FOOD - huge con for me - would advise people to adjust expectations here. Majority of guests whilst I was there were from Russia/Eastern Europe and the food very much caters to them. No offence intended to anyone. Before you think OK maybe he's a chips and fry up only zone brit - not the case, I have lived in 4 countries (including developing countries) so can adjust when it comes to food, but struggled to find good options at this hotel and sometimes the one or two things I or my family would actually want to eat just randomly weren't served some days... so more beige food was consumed than we usually would. Have not had this in other European all inclusive resorts before. Beer is decent and soft drinks too, cocktails a bit more hit and miss (mainly vodka based). - Maintenance - some TLC and attention to detail overall is needed to make this a 5-star hotel. A couple of examples - there were light fittings floating in the pool attached to wires that had come off the pool wall (potential safety issue?), reported, but nothing done about them. We had a birds nest above the patio door to the terrace outside our room - so bird poo all over the shop and all over our swimming stuff whenever we tried to dry it. Again reported 1st day, nothing done about it. Practical tip - the hotel shops charge everything in EUR. If you try to pay in Lira cash they are fine with that, but you will get rinsed on the exchange rate they want to use. Not 100% sure I'd return to this hotel but not to say I didn't have a lovely holiday and enjoy my time there.
