This hotel presents itself as a five-star hotel, but it is surely not. We have been visiting Türkyie for quite some years now, and this was not the five-star hotel standard we were used to in the past years.
This hotel was probably build quite a few years ago and it still looks the same, nothing really changed I guess. Lift glasses and mirrors were dirty, carpets in the halls were kinda dirty and the cleaners didn't really care, I assume.
The Wi-fi was a big "ouch" moment. It wasn't working anywhere else than the reception and even there it was really bad sometimes. In the morning I could connect to the internet in the left corner of our balcony, but it was really poor even tho we were in the main building - I can't imagine how bad it had to be in bungalows on the side (I really don't know, cause we weren't there, sorry). The day before our check-out it started working in the middle part of the beach, but only in the mornings and late evenings.
We also had a funny moment the second day of our vacation, when the power went off several times from afternoon till like ten p.m. ??? (that was our first time with this situation :D). But it only happend once.
Our room was okay-ish. We booked the deluxe room for two with seaview, which was actually stunning, but the room itself was average.
Bed size is okay, but you only have one small "blanket", and it was really noisy. The bed sheet wasn't really holding onto the matress, so every morning we woke up with it halfway down. Anyways, it was clean and sleepable :).
Bathroom didn't really meet our expectations, but it was acceptable and clean - we were just expecting something more "modern" I guess. The shower was big with plastic floor. Main problem was that the cleaner didn't give us new shower gel or shampoo that we used completely within 3 days, even after we put the empty bottle in the middle of the sink. Then, we put it in the middle of the shower - that worked and we got our new shower gel on the fifth day :). We also had a problem with our toilet - the flushing stucked, but we informed the reception in the morning before breakfast about it and it was repaired after we came back to our room from morning food, that was nice.
The AC didn't smell or anything, but there wasn't really a difference between cooling on 25 degrees or 18 degrees - the temperature was still the same, but it was cool, surely not freezing tho.
The wardrobe was actually pretty small in our opinion. For two women it wasn't almost enough, but we made it somehow. Balcony was okay, with two seats and small plastic table. Minibar was filled on our arrival - two pepsis, two sprites and two fantas plus new water bottle everyday.
The beach was probably the best thing of everything here. It was being cleaned everyday and there were no problems. Water is shallow, ideal for kids, but you could also go a bit further to take a swim in deeper water. There was plenty of fish and you could also go closer to the stones and cliffs on right side of the beach, where snorkling was ideal. There is plenty of bars (even with food) around the beach, so no big lines of standing people.
The only "minus" of the beach is that you really had to take almost a hike to go there and then back to your room, as it is "under" the hotel. We survived two really hot windless days and the temperature in the passage had to be around 50 degrees - terrible. BUT there is a shuttle bus going up and down the beach and room area/lobby every 5 minutes and you could also catch a golfcarts that were driving around the resort all the time :). (Tho the shuttle bus was really full almost everytime, so we were doing our cardio every afternoon :).
The restaurant was the biggest dissapointing. Food taste was good, but it was repeating a lot and the staff wasn't keeping up with the ammount of people in the evening. You had to wait quite a time for some meals to get filled back up. You had to go and order your own drinks, which we didn't expect at five-star hotel. And if you came just 30 minutes later after the opening dinner time, you had a really hard time finding place to sit - it was overcrowed. That's why I recommend to go right away at the opening times (for dinner). Breakfast and lunch times were okay.
Activities were probably good. Aquapark looked nice and clean and the water from the pool didn't smell like a chemical factory, which is a big plus. Animation team did well, throughout the day they had many activities, although some of the team memembers were a bit nosy and annoying. If I just said "no, I am not going to play water polo now", it means that I am not going, so stop asking me 3 times and telling me that I am bad because I don't wanna go play something, duh :Ddd. But most of'em were understanding and nice :).
There really isn't anything in a walkable distance from the hotel. You would have to rent a car, or take a taxi, or use those buses that are going almost every 20 minutes around hotels nearby and can take you to towns around. We only booked one trip (at our travel agency) on a boat from Ozdere, which was maybe the peak of our vacation, I can recommend it very much - I didn't have a clue that the sea and little beaches around could look that nice and sweet.
Overall, our vacation was average, good, but surely not perfect or anything like that. We didn't have any BIG problem, but those little problems that happend to us made the whole experience worse... As I said on the beginning, it is surely not a five-star hotel for the Turkiye standard we know, we would say it's like a four-star resort :).
We traveled with Exim Tours :).
