The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa

We stay at the Westin and love the facilities love the people we find the rooms really clean and the beach is public, but with a lot of nice people and we will definitely consider returning to Westin and another aspect that we liked was the fact that we can book tours when we get to Westin. We met Eric G on Google blue shirt and he have for sale with two similar list. Great trips. One of the highlights was a Stuart Cooper who is a captain on a small fishing boat would really love him and had a great time and all in all the Westin really surpass our expectations. We definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. We travelled with three kids under 12, and they loved it- the pool is great, not too deep or too crowded. The property is gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. We stayed in the family suite which worked for us- but if you like the cool, I recommend keeping the blinds closed during the day (the ceilings are high so the AC has to work hard to cool the room). We also recommend bringing pool noodles or floats. The restaurants were great- eat at Manglar and Bamboo if you can!

This was our second time visiting this resort. The property is beautiful and well kept. The pool area is huge. Great golf cart/shuttle transportation around the resort. The food and service were wonderful at the restaurants. Birds, monkeys and iguanas all around to see. Take advantage of the horse back riding and massages just outside the resort on the beach. Great kids club. We used Erik G (wears a blue shirt) at the beach to do excursions with a private driver. We did an excursion including zip lining, tubing and horse back riding. He is very reliable. We felt safe and appreciated at all times. We also got wonderful massages on the beach. Great people. Stayed 6 nights.

This resort was incredible! Everyone was so nice and attentive. Getting around was easy and there was so much to do. We didn’t even get a chance to see it all so we’re talking about coming back next year. We were on vacation with my 5 year old niece who has autism. This was perfect for her. We could order breakfast in the morning so we didn’t try to venture out with a hungry kid. We could eat in when she was feeling overwhelmed. All of the staff were so kind and understanding. Ms Hazel at the kids club was a true MVP. She helped us transition into the kids club at drop off so she felt comfortable being left in a new place. Once she was there she had the best time! She was always smiling when we came back. We booked a tour with Erik Garcia beforehand and the pick up from the hotel was easy. Would 100% recommend him for your tour, he really helped us figure out which tour was best for the little one and doing private meant we went at our own pace. You can find him via his website or he’s the guy with the blue Google shirt on the beach outside of the resort. The spa was also incredibly nice when we needed to have some non-kid time to reset. Overall it was incredible.

We had a fantastic family vacation at the Westin Reserva Conchal. One of the best all-inclusive vacations we’ve taken so far as a family. One of the biggest highlights for us was the wildlife around the resort—our kids were obsessed. Seeing monkeys, iguanas, and tropical birds right on the property made the experience really unique. The room setup worked well for our family, and we loved the layout of the resort. While the resort is large, there are golf cart shuttles always available to bring you around. The pool area was great, and there was always something to do without it feeling overwhelming. The restaurants offered a nice variety with great cocktails and the food exceeded our expectations for an all-inclusive. There was a good range of activities, making it easy to balance relaxation and fun for both adults and kids. We booked excursions through Erik G in the blue shirt on the beach, and it couldn’t have been easier. He helped us organize a rainforest and waterfall tour with an amazing guide, as well as horseback riding on the beach—both were fantastic experiences for our kids and seamlessly organized. Overall, this was a fantastic vacation from start to finish. We’re already talking about visiting again.

Wonderful trip at this wonderful resort! Our kids are 6 and 9 and loved every minute - from the exciting wildlife (howler monkeys, iguanas, etc!) to the fantastic pool and beach to the never ending tropical smoothies and everything in between! We loved our experience so much and enjoyed all the great amenities. Additionally and unexpectedly, we thought this was by far the best food we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive - we truly enjoyed every meal and restaurant! We also used Erik G (he wears the google blue shirt on the beach) for both airport transfers and an excursion one of the days. We got to swim in a waterfall, see all sorts of animals (sloths, snake, dart frog!) and visit a coffee/cocoa farm. We had a great adventure!! Additionally the airport transfers were incredibly smooth and convenient. Jose, who took us back to the airport at the end of our trip was especially wonderful and made a huge impression on our 6 year old. His kindness will not be soon forgotten! The hotel is outdated. Amenities are old and in bad condition. Food and service is not good. Beach is not pretty at all during dry season. Prepare to be harassed to buy stuff if you want to go to the beach. Internet was spotty. Tv in our room didn’t work. Room service took over an hour to show up. Pool has barely any shade. Took a long time to check in. Person at front desk didn’t know anything about the hotel and had to ask another employee every question we had. Valet took forever. Restaurant service also took a long time. You are paying for a 5 star experience and getting a 1 star stay. Do not waste your money. Feel more stressed after staying here and spending so much money instead of having a relaxing family vacation. If you’re looking for a beautiful beach all inclusive vacation go to Dominican Republic and don’t stay at a Marriott property. Extremely disappointing.

I’m honestly not someone who typically writes negative reviews, but after choosing the Westin Reserva Conchal based on so many glowing reviews, I feel it’s important to share our experience. We traveled as a family with four teenagers and fall into that “in-between” category—not looking for an adults-only escape, but also not interested in a kid-heavy, family-focused environment. Unfortunately, this resort didn’t seem to cater well to that middle ground. The check-in process was a nightmare. The resort was overwhelmed with a large conference group (Avon ladies/men), and from the moment we arrived, everything felt chaotic and overcrowded. Despite our Ambassador Elite status, there was no recognition or meaningful benefit—it truly didn’t seem to matter. We were given “gold bracelets” (along with another bracelet that doubles as your room key) and told this meant we were “VIP.” That honestly felt like a stretch. The experience didn’t reflect anything close to VIP treatment. It became very clear that unless you’re staying in the adults-only section or booked through the Family Westin, you’re essentially an afterthought. We chose not to stay in the adults-only area because we were traveling with our teens, but also avoided the Family Westin because we’re past the stage of wanting to be surrounded by younger children all day. Unfortunately, that left us feeling like we didn’t really belong anywhere within the resort. The food was just okay—definitely not what we expected from a Westin. Lunch by the pool was particularly underwhelming, with limited options like hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza every day. The beach is beautiful to look at, but not relaxing in practice. While we understand it’s a public beach, we were constantly approached by vendors, which made it difficult to unwind. That said, there were a couple bright spots. Joaquin Cisneros, our personal concierge, was outstanding—very attentive, professional, and one of the few people who made us feel taken care of during our stay. Also, if you go, find Sophia in the orange shirt—her team offers $40 beach massages, and it was easily the highlight of our trip. Overall, this stay fell short of what we’ve come to expect from a Bonvoy property. Perhaps our family is simply outgrowing this brand or this type of resort, but this experience did not align with the level of service, organization, or quality we anticipated.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this property. This is a nice property with many amenities. The grounds are quite extensive and immaculately kept and with plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife. We saw monkeys, coatis, and iguanas throughout the property. There are round the clock golf carts circling the property to take you to wherever you would like to go. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the hot/cold filtered water machine in our room. There was also a coffee machine and complimentary drinks in the mini fridge that get refilled daily. The food was what one would expect from an all inclusive. There were numerous restaurants, a good selection, and room service was available. There is a large pool and we didn’t feel like we needed to run down first thing in the morning to reserve a chair. We don’t typically stay at all inclusive resorts but we definitely plan to return here.

The Westin was the perfect location for our family. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the pool and kids club were absolutely perfect for our young kids (2 and 5 years old)! Erik G (in the blue shirt) was also fantastic and organized surf lessons which was the best part of our trip. His communication skills was great and very professional!
