Log fire burning in the bar on a very cold night. Good food. Dog friendly, easy access at night to take dog out if necessary. Extra blanket-much needed. Heater adjustable and effective in room. Christmas decorations were cheering and thoughtful. Staff were respectful responsive and friendly.

The property is an old one difficult to streamline however our bedroom and bathroom doors didn’t shut with ease, the deep step drop into bathroom is awkward -needs a notice to warn. The carpeting in stairway and hallway is scruffy, needs updating, unfortunately shows muddy footprints and the hall mat a potential trip hazard. The sheet of board in alleyway was wet and slippery, alleyway was unkempt. The shower only adequate and plug didn’t drain.

Great area to stay for where we needed to be,nice peaceful location ,comfy beds so had a peaceful nights sleep! Friendly staff & had an excellent breakfast in the morning ,compliments the chef!

Room was a little tired & dated ,could have done with a few tweaks here & there & maybe a few extra touches,ie a welcome info pack ,more towels & a couple of glasses for water in room but it was nothing major & was all functional & did not affect our stay

Breakfast was excellent, team were very welcoming and helpful. The location is a little out of the way small village location but just what I was hoping for personally.

They can not do anything to help but the walls are thin so the snoring from next door was very loud

The scratching inside the walls with it being an old building something was nesting inside, and the height of the doorways isn’t great for someone who is tall.
