The Potters Arms

Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was really tasty and staff knowledgeable about food and wine. The room was very nicely quirky.

The lock on the room was not very secure but they said they were going to sort it out. The restaurant and bar are excellent and the present owners only been there a month so i am sure that the positive look of downstairs will be repeated in the rooms.

I arrived at the hotel, the room was a disgrace, there was mold and dirt all over the furniture, It was impossible for me to stay in a hotel room like that, the cleanness of the hotel match the state of the room, I was that mortified, I checked out of the hotel and asked for a refund

People were really welcoming! The pub is lovely and they offer lovely food which is delicious. The room was quirky and had loads of potential but the bathroom was really dirty. Toilet bowl had stains from person using it. The shower seal was brown and the shower head was covered in limescale. Also the kettle top had marks on it and in closer inspection inside it had old water inside and also covered in limescale.

Staff was very nice over the phone and explained where the keys would be as we would be arriving after hours.

You could hear everything through the walls. Every slight move could be heard. Even heard the neighbour using the toilet, not awfully pleasant. There was quite a lot of break, damp and overall it wasn't for us at all. We ended up finding somewhere else local and getting a night there instead, we just couldn't stay here.

We were due to arrive outside the normal check in times, so we spoke to Richard who arranged a key pick up point and gave clear concise instructions. Nothing was too much. Thank you all for a great stay, we would definitely come again.

Breakfast

No communication from the manager or staff regarding pub opening times, returned back to the pub after visiting famaily to find the pub closed at 1900? Also, the menu was very limited.

Location was good. Manager Richard was excellent. It was cozy and warm. WiFi was included and really good.

Basin in the bathroom was cracked, shower had poor temperature control. Breakfast on second day, when Richard was away, was disappointing. The waiter gave us butter from someone else's plate where he'd refolded the foil.
