"Don’t bother, go somewhere proper."

3.0

It’s a pub that serves cold beer and a decent meal

Room was cramped and accessed through a hobbit sized door, wardrobe was the wonkiest thing I’ve ever seen, it was a scorching hot day but it was like an oven in the room. Sink in the bathroom was cracked Check in was like we’d disturbed them, and We were told breakfast would be at 7am but the pub was still locked up when we came down at 7.20 and still by the time we left at 7.30 which meant the breakfast we paid for wasn’t available so we had to pay again elsewhere. I have contacted the staff about it but they’ve done nothing to refund the breakfast so I guess they don’t care about their guests needs. Avoid and go somewhere else would be my advice.

Lovely pub with rooms. Our twin was a good size with comfy beds. Ensuite was also a good size. The property is run by Nepalese, who were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu had both British and Nepalese food on offer. Both were excellent. Had a fantastic weekend.

Our room was not serviced at all during our stay.

"Could have been charming but needs a bit of attention."

7.0

The staff member (manager?) was friendly and welcoming. It was a pretty little pub in a quaint village.

The room was a little outdated and could do with some tlc. Faded wood chip wallpaper, sticky stains in the carpet and bathroom light hanging off with exposed wires which we kept knocking with our heads because we are tall and the ceiling was low! I could feel the springs through the mattress. It was one of the hottest summer nights, however we couldn’t have the windows open because a neighbour had an outside DJ playing loud dance music past 11pm. There was a small fan but it was inefficient. I think there was only one staff member (manager?) because when we came down for breakfast, he was dealing with a couple’s query (about payment?) which took over 20 minutes and so we were sat waiting before being offered any drink or menu.

"Great place a little tlc needed"

Great friendly staff and excellent food and perfect location for dog walks on your doorstep

The rooms need a revamp - wardrobe was falling apart, a leg to replace the leg on the bed could help and fixing the loo seat. No-one turning up to cook breakfast was bad form when specifically asked for a time
