Onomo Hotel Dakar

The hotel was good. They were not at the Airport in case someone wanted to stay at the hotel.

Prepaid room and just wish we had more time to spend in it. A fivee-hour flight delay meant our night was very short. It would have been nice if the hotel had an email address. Our cell phones did not work there, and there was no way to call the hotel and get the shuttle to pick us up. There we were at 4 a.m. inundated at the airport with jerks offering taxi service and wanting to do anything to ellicit tips from us. The personnel we approached for help could not speak enough English and we could not speak enough French. But he did tell us what was the limet we should pay for the taxi and the most forward of the 'drivers' said he would take us to the hotel for that. He was a real nuisance following us into the hotel to get more money. I had to threaten to go get one of the policemen outside before he would leave. This really has nothing to do with the hotel. It is a fine place to stay, but getting from the airport to the hotel is not a pleasant experience. Some of the staff could not understand English enough to understand some of our requests. But it is a place I could highly recommend to those needing to stay in Dakar close to the airport.

Just one night this time. There's a good buzz about the Onomo Dakar. It's busy enough to let you know the guests enjoy and depend on it, but not overcrowded or hurried. Definitely a business orientated airport type hotel. I like the restaurant and the food they serve. You really can't walk anywhere, but everything you might need is a taxi drive away (assuming you know how to use the taxi system here). A comfortable, modern oasis for the traveling business person. Excellent wifi too.

I was expectant more as a 3-5 stars.The service could be better than this..

I was on transit so a very short overnight stay. Close to airport with a shuttle. Short and quick check in and I was in my room.

There is a complementary shuttle from the airport to the hotel which is great . Rooms could be cleaner. The floors in the room looked a little greasy.

An overnight stay prior to early morning flight from Dakar. Very high security even to get into the hotel compound - armed guard searched all our bags before allowing taxi into the gate. Hotel is well designed, clean and friendly. Odd shower arrangement - just an open space with no privacy but functional. I was sharing with a friend so slightly tricky! No tea/coffee facilities. Comfortable bed. Food in the restaurant was OK but a bit pricey for Senegal for what it was. Free shuttle to the airport in the morning was excellent.

Spent a week in Dakar to visit my daughter in the Peace Corp. The hotel was a welcome comfort from the dirt and madness of the city.

Always a solid place if you are landing or leaving Dakar

very helpfull staff on reception , bar responsable very nice . prices of food much too high if you compare what you have for what you pay , we are all business travelers on this trip and this is the general reaction .
