The Victoria Inn

Lovely staff, easy to park, excellent breakfast - cooked (how you wanted it) or cereals etc, included in the room price. Gluten (& lactose) free menu. Lovely contained outside area, and comfy restaurant, as well as bar area. Room was comfortable. A few things which could be improved: edges of radiator coming off, one side held on by micropore tape; sink plug covers were tarnished/worn looking; single bed had two cushions in a pillowcase instead of a pillow, so swapped it over with one from the double bed (which had two each). A fan in the hot weather would be helpful, as in the evening we had to close the window to reduce the noise from the restaurant - although considering we stayed Fri & Sat night, the noise wasn't a problem, even with a child to settle. The doors to the rooms are quite noisy. The rooms are accessed up a metal staircase at the back of the pub kitchen, which isn't the most appealing, but it means that you can come and go as you want.

Lovely friendly service from staff. Breakfast was very good with generous portions. We stayed in the family room advertised as three double beds on Expedia but this is wrong and can only fit two and a camp bed. We were advised of this by the hotel before we traveled. Expedia needs to update the description as requested by the hotel. Overall good stay, located ideally for our needs.

Would certainly stay again. Only criticism is that the bed in my room was far too hard!

Lovely stay , but needs a plug socket nearer a mirror to do hsir , staff are fab & will do anything for ya . Will definitely stay again but bring an extention.

We stayed in a large family room for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable and the food in the restaurant was excellent. This is a fantastic value for money Place to stay. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and make you feel welcome during your stay. Thanks to all at the Victoria Inn for a great weekend. We will return soon.

A very pleasant stay. Although we arrived too late for a meal the staff were happy to provide a cheese platter for us which was very welcome. The room was large with two comfortable beds but the access was rather strange being through the kitchen area outside. We were a little concerned as it would appear that the heating was switched off overnight. Breakfast was very nice. The wi-fi was a bit confusing! The staff are very friendly and helpful.
