Hotel Berti

Friendly small cost hotel close to bus, and attractions. Fantastic restaurant owned by family down the road a bit, you should visit. Only concern for me was the very hard pillows and bed.

We arrived late afternoon after driving from the Amalfi Coast. The family-run hotel is located within the walls of the old town and a short walk from the Basilica of St. Francis. We had a little trouble locating the hotel as it is small and tucked in behind an al frecso eating area with the sign hidden behind a large tree. After unloading the car, we were able to park in the street nearby overnight free of charge until 10.30am the next day. The hotel has a small lift and our room looked out onto the Piazza San Pietro (Assisi has many churches - we had no need for an early morning call as the church bells did that job!). Continental breakfast was served in the outdoor eating area, very pleasant on the lovely fine morning we were there. (Indoor room available for colder weather) We had a delicious evening meal at the restaurant (owned by the hotel family) which was a short walk away, followed by a walk up to St Francis' church.There were lovely views of the surrounding countryside from St. Peter's church carpark directly across from the hotel.

Wonderful! Superb hospitality and charming hotel. We would stay again and recome to anyone traveling to Asissi.

My stay was fine. This is an older hotel with smallish rooms. That said my room was very clean and the bathroom was on the larger side, a bonus in Europe. The hotel is close to all the major attractions, is close to parking and to many restaurants. The air conditioning worked well and the hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast, which is included was also good. I would stay at Hotel Berti again if I return to Assis.

Fabulous hotel for the rate. There was nothing to complain about. Would highly recommend. For those who are driving having the car park so close was really helpful.

This was very conveniently located (just inside the San Pietro gate) and very nice. The room and bathroom were good-sized. It overlooked the front courtyard and I worried at first that the noise outside would keep me up, but everything was quiet once it got dark. I ate at their restaurant nearby and the food and service were excellent. Too short a stay!

OUR EXPERIENCE STARTED OFF BY BEING GREETED AND WELCOMED BY THE OWNER LANFRANCO IN THE COURTYARD OF THE HOTEL. THE LOCATION IS CLOSE TO BUSLINE AND TAXI. EASY TO ACCESS THE ATTRACTIONS IN ASSISI. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT LANFRANCO, HE WAS ATTENTIVE, HELPFUL WITH DIRECTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DINNER. MAKES THE BEST CAPPICINO TOO. THE HOTEL WAS IN FANTASTIC SHAPE, CLEAN AND WITH AN ELEVATOR THAT ACTUALLY WORKED!!

Our stay at Hotel Berti has been one of the highlights to our Italy adventure ... The location was easy to find, comfortable and perfectly clean rooms. Our stay was so lovely that we have decided to change travel arrangements and return and stay longer !!!
