SBH Taro Beach Hotel

I will start my review with more points to make sure that everyone will have in their mind . First of all , you don’t have internet ( even if they provide at the entrance , is not working at all) , only 2-3 plugs to charge your phone or what you have , you don’t have in the room not even a glass that you can put some water to drink , a plate or something . In my opinion with a baby is quite difficult and not nice to don’t have some essential stuff . The cleaning stuff are a little annoying , first 2 days we got a lovely lady that make amazing cleaning , on 3rd day that one I don’t know why she even entry in our room because she don’t even change the towels. So disappointed!!! With the food it was ok but not so much variety because it was always the same, everyday . You have to walk 20 minutes to a supermarket if you want to buy something because the local stores are super expensive . So they need to think more about putting some stuff in the room , like glasses , a kettle , an iron , plates , sink and all that things that you find in another places . I was expecting something else because on the photos everything look amazing but when you arrive there the sofas so old and looking so dirty and more stuff . The location is nice , near the beach but that’s it !

Location was really nice but not easy to reach on public transport, bus service is limited and take more then one hour from/to airport

No free water and wine was not tasty at all , when I asked bartender if he had other wine he said that’s i should go to supermarket but it was no supermarket around and I found its very rude and sarcastic

I'll start my review with the positive points of the hotel. The hotel is in a beautiful location right on the beach. The hardworking staff are mostly really friendly and polite and the cleaning staff for our family room were great. Sadly, in my opinion this is not a 4 star hotel. Very badly let down by very dated furniture fixtures and fittings. Old scratched tables and chairs and the cloth covered sofa in our room was really grubby. No water supplied or tea and coffee making facilities although we did manage to borrow a kettle from reception. Severe lack of plugs in the rooms for charging electronics and the WiFi in the room was not very good we ended up just using our mobile data. The food was average for an all inclusive hotel but we always found something to eat but we were very disappointed with the quality of the drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Wine extremely poor and some days no Rose available the dispenser just covered over. Don't expect to have a nice relaxing meal as the restaurant is extremely noisy. What disappointed us most was that there were no sunbeds for hire on the beach and we found it impossible to relax and enjoy the pool area due to the amount of very inconsiderate heavy smokers. It was the same at the pool snack bar, in clearly defined no smoking areas selfish smokers continued to pollute everybody's air and staff did not enforce the policy it was left up to guests to point it out. We were happy we had a hire car to explore other areas as there really not a lot to see or do in Costa Calma.

Das Hotel ist tatsächlich überaltert. Auch die Sauberkeit lässt arg zu wünschen übrig. Sowohl was die Reinigung der Zimmer und vor allem der Gänge davor angeht, als auch im Restaurant. Die Kakerlaken vor den Zimmern wurden zwar abgetötet, blieben aber fast eine Woche liegen. Genauso der zusammengekehrte Schmutz in dem Bereich. Im Restaurant waren sowohl das Besteck, als auch die Gläser und die Tischdecken teilweise schmutzig. Der angegebene Fitnessraum ist eine Freiluftfitnessarea am Nachbarhotel. Das war so in der Beschreibung auf Booking auch nicht angegeben.
