Montien House Chaweng Beach Resort

Booked a private Villa with pool. Not as good as I expected or worth the money I paid. First day toilet blocked and while trying to clear it bum washer got stuck at full pressure took a lot of bashing before it stopped water everywhere. Day three private pool turned green was not able to swim for three days. Shower was impossible to adjust if left a one setting went from cold to hot to cold and could not be set. Area outside not cleaned of leaves and flowers for three days. Not impressed only good thing was location but wont stay again

Defiantly one of the best places to stay in Koh Samui Noi is currently the manager in which she is so good and understanding

Great location, so close to the main drag. Super good breakfast with beach views. Super friendly service. They even provided a taxi back to the airport when we checked out. The only downside was that the pool was a bit cloudy

Ideal location right next to beach and very close to a large range of restaurants, bars and nightlife, but very quiet and peaceful when at accommodation. All staff were great. I will stop here again🙏

I have been staying at Montien House Hotel with groups since 2020 and have just been back with a group as a reunion. Every single person has left that gem of a spot with a special feeling and most of the literally hundreds have returned. To my mind and experience Montien is the most perfectly positioned accommodation in Koh Samui. Restaurants, beaches, shopping, tour companies, airport are all on your doorstep. The unpretentious accommodation and the friendly environment makes Montien feel like home from home. Khun Noi and her team go out of their way to make your stay a warn and unforgettable stay. Thank you very much. We will be back many times in the future.

A great centrally located hotel on chaweng beach. Nice staff new motorbikes to rent. A very quiet location. We will return.

Location was good close to all amenities bars and restaurants. Rooms a bit dated but aircin was good.

Grounds were nice and the hotel was clean however the pool didn’t look very clean

I was very happy with my stay at Montien House. The location was perfect. On the beach, very near to the town centre with many restaurants and shopping opportunities. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Montien House Hotel for 8 nights in June 2025, Plool villa room 304. Room was large and very comfortable. Very clean and maid service exceptional. The private pool was lovely except for the last couple of days it became quite dirty and not clear, did speak to reception about it but nothing was done. When you pay a premium price for this type of room you expect them to follow up with a request. Becareful the tiles in the room, on the stairs and around the villa are very slippery when wet. The room was just 35mts from the beach but dont expect waves and there is a reef infront of the hotel and a lot of rocks in the water. Did see people swimming there but you would be better walking a couple of hundred mts down to where the reef finishes and and the beach starts. The hotel is not disable friendly as there are steps everywhere (not many) but anyone with leg injuries may find it difficult. There is no hand rails anywhere in the hotel. Even the pool has no hand rails to get in or out. Our private pool was the same. The breakfast included was quite good, not a big choice be adequate. Bacon, ham, chickrn sausages, egg station, toast, pastries, cereals, fruit, assortment of rice and vegetable dishes that chang daily and Tea, coffee and Juices. The restuarant is at the back of the hotel overlooking the water and a lovely spot for breakfast. The bar is quiet and the staff are very attentive. The hotel grounds are lovely and the gardens and greenery make you feel that your miles away from the hustle and bustle. A short walk about 125mts to the main street Chaweng Road where all the action is. Can get noisy from time to time but not to bad. Hotel is also in the flight path so you get plane over head from 7am to 9pm daily. Approx every 30-40min min or so. Lots of restaurants and bars around the area. Will definitely stay here again next year as the location was fantastic for us. Both my husband and I have knee and ankle injuries and we like to be close to everything so we do not have to walk far. It was perfect. Thankyou Montien House for a great stay and see you next year.
