Montien House Chaweng Beach Resort

Had a beautiful pool villa which is lovely and private . The room was very nice and the small pool adequate ,although on our last three days it became cloudy and a strange colour . I would suspect it was because there was work that had to be done on the pool pump and it was not working for a while. The breakfast is basic but very acceptable . Four asian style breakfast were in the kettles on a table and there is an egg station and their bacon is better than what you usually get in a hotel. The view from the breakfast is nice as you are sitting next to the beach which has a natural reef around it. The staff are wonderful and Noi was a very helpful host . Now for the downside of the resort . No hand rails on any of the pools . Stairs down to the beach had no hand rails . Seating in the pool villa is not good at all . Not sun lounge or chairs outside . Just had a concrete bench built into the wall with a very hard vinyl cushion on it . The roof above the bench leaked when it rained and made sitting outside on the bench when it rained a very wet experience despite having a roof . The tiles around the villa pool are extremely slippery when wet and anti slip mats urgently need to be fitted . I walked out in bare feet in the wet and nearly fell three times and I was being very careful. The once beautiful water feature at the end of the pool was in disrepair and not functioning . This is a lovely place to stay but there needs to be an upgrade around the pools ... ( hand rails these days are essential ) I will definitely be back . It also has beautiful gardens and central to many shops.

Location is spot on and our bungalow was 1 min 20 secs walk through lovely kept garden from the beach and pool. Staff were friendly and location was great for bars and eating places. only negative was close to flight path so couple of planes every hour in and out. Will definitely be back.

Lovely , cottages, , Gardens , terrace rooms with balconies , rooms cleaned daily , Fresh Towels .you can walk through to the beach , pool , restaurant . I didn’t have breakfast . I had dinner , Lunch . Great panang chicken , yum , Great massaman Beef curry , milkshakes . The restaurant , pool overlook the beach and ocean . Very peaceful , Quiet . It is a Great walk to Chaweng beach rd . Massage opposite chess , was fantastic $300 Baht for 1 hour . UNO cafe at the end of entrance Great all day breakfast , Big Breakfast $220 Baht. I had a lovely stay at Montien House and the would stay again

This hotel is gorgeous. Super clean and fresh. Staff is so friendly and helpful. You will not get home sick. The hotel rooms are open and airy with a great mattress and lots of pillows. When you start the path past the cottages that opens to a beautiful pool right on the white dandy beach and blue blue water. The restaurant is excellent. 2$ buffet for two. Come on, it’s awesome. So much food, huge variety. Staff again, awesome. Get a massage on the beach for a great price. Everything minutes away. You can rent motor bikes for cheap and transportation with the hotel is great. Do not hesitate, you will go back

Old hotel in the perfect location. On the beach, close to everything. Needs a make-over, especially in the bathroom. Good breakfast and wifi

The Montien house is a gem! Our suite was beautiful and everything was pretty quiet despite being within walking distance to a few clubs. The restaurant was very good and the breakfast was well worth it. We highly recommend this hotel if you're looking to stay in Chaweng.
