"Get a room !! (upstairs preferably)"

Great hotel and excellent location. On our first night we had a room which was below the bar and reception area. Sadly we were kept awake by the barman rearranging tables and running back and forth to reception. The door from the carpark also slammed as guests returned for the night. In the early evening there is a lot of 'traffic' in and out of the spa which can also shatter the peace. They moved us upstairs on the second night and although the room was a little smaller, it was a lot quieter. Beware, you will also have to pay €10 per vehicle per night to park. It's not included or free as certain booking sites suggest. Other than that if your budget stretches to it this is a great hotel.

"Amazingly Close to Castle"

Great to be located so close to the Carcassonne Castle. The bar and breakfast areas were very attractive and comfortable. The breakfast was not of the quality we are used to. Wish there had been a restaurant on site.

I was disappointed by the fact that the hotel did not accommodate our mistake of double booking on Expedia and booking.com and this we had two reservations. Well it was our error I’m accustomed to hotels catching the error and rectifying the situation. Once the mistake was pointed out to us the hotel decided to not help us by believing us of one of the reservations and thus we ended up paying for both.

Loved the location and the hotel. We felt the breakfast was overpriced since one can get a similar breakfast at half a price at the Citadel.

We had an extended stay in the South of France and Carcassonne is a “Do not miss stop”. Hotel du chateau was our favorite hotel we stayed in! Everything about it was gorgeous! If you have time to go to the Spa, the pools were wonderful and the massage was great!
