Hatton Court Hotel

We visited the hotel as we had stayed here a few years ago. Still as lovely as it was then. Waking up in the morning with lovely views and grouse in the fields. A nice quiet area away from towns and busy roads. Very clean rooms and even had a fan to keep the room cool. The food was lovely and you could taste the quality in the ingredients.

The main building of the hotel looked stunning, and the outdoor setting was spectacular with gorgeous views from the top of the hillside down to the valley below. The reception, dining room and bar all looked recently updated to a good standard. Unfortunately, that's where it ended.

After a lovely greeting in reception, we were shown across to the adjacent building for our room. It was on the top floor up 3 flights of stairs with no lift. The hallway carpet was filthy with stains the whole length of the hall. The room was basic but clean enough. The bed seemed smaller than a normal double, and it felt like it was trying to throw you off the sides each time you turned over in the night. The bathroom was adequate at best. There was no shower curtain so it was interesting to say the least trying to step out of the bath after a shower without breaking a leg. There was no adjustment on the rather lower show head so you had to kneel in the bath in order to wash your hair.

there was a problem with the shower which when reported was dealt with a lack of concern or apology just enough tea for one cup had to ask for more and that again seemed to be a problem

The hotel was lovely. We enjoyed the bar and the breakfast. The room was spacious and beautiful. A great starting place for our 5 day hike on the Cotswolds Way!

Celebrated a wonderful birthday with family and friends at Hatton Court Can’t thank Samantha, Zac and all the staff for making it such a joyous occasion. It was truly a memorable evening from start to finish. The food and service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all again and will definitely be seeing you soon.

What a lovely find. Fantastically located and with stunning views. The rooms were well decorated and ours had a Jacuzzi bath. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The staff, with the exception of one, were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. We’d definitely return.

We had a truly memorable stay at Hatton Court Hotel and couldn’t have been more impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by warm, genuinely welcoming staff whose professionalism and training were immediately evident. Every interaction felt personal and attentive, and the restaurant and bar teams in particular deserve special praise — they were knowledgeable, friendly, and consistently went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Our room was beautifully presented, spacious, and extremely comfortable, offering a peaceful retreat after a day exploring the Cotswolds. The attention to detail in the room made it feel both homely and luxurious, and we slept incredibly well. The dining experience was another highlight of our stay. The evening meals were excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering everything from lighter options to hearty cooked choices, again with great variety and quality. The restaurant staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the bar staff were just as impressive — friendly, efficient, and clearly proud of the service they provide. The hotel’s location is perfect for a relaxing countryside break. Set in the beautiful Cotswolds, it offers a peaceful atmosphere and lovely views, making it an ideal base for exploring the area or simply unwinding in a tranquil setting. Overall, Hatton Court Hotel delivered on every level — exceptional staff, comfortable rooms, excellent food, and a wonderful location. We left feeling relaxed and well looked after.

Lovely night in Hatton Court . Our room was amazing with 4 poster bed and balcony . Fantastic views from room . Staff were friendly and helpful. Diner was nice with lovely garden views . Would highly recommend
